4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge the ULANZI LM01 using the provided Type-C charging cable. Connect the cable to the charging port on the flashlight and a compatible USB power source. The indicator light will show charging status.
4.2 Attaching the Silicone Lens Tube and Gobos
- Gently press the foldable silicone lens tube onto the front of the flashlight.
- Select one of the 20 provided gobos (stencil filters).
- Insert the chosen gobo into the slot at the end of the silicone lens tube. Ensure it is securely seated.
4.3 Mounting the Flashlight
The ULANZI LM01 features a 1/4" threaded hole and an ARRI locating hole for versatile mounting options. Attach the flashlight to a compatible tripod, light stand, or other accessory as needed for your setup.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
To power on the flashlight, press and hold the multi-function knob for a few seconds until the light illuminates. To power off, press and hold the knob again.
5.2 Changing Colors
With the flashlight powered on, short press the multi-function knob to cycle through the available RGB colors (Red, Green, Blue, White, Yellow, Orange).
5.3 Adjusting Brightness
Rotate the multi-function knob clockwise to increase brightness and counter-clockwise to decrease brightness. The built-in color LED indicator around the knob provides visual feedback on the current power and light status.
5.4 Adjusting Focus (Zoom)
To adjust the focus of the light beam, pull the front part of the flashlight outwards for a more focused, long-range spotlight. Push it inwards for a softer, wider coverage.
5.5 Using Gobos for Creative Effects
With a gobo inserted into the silicone lens tube, the flashlight will project the chosen pattern onto a surface. Experiment with different gobos and focus settings to achieve various creative lighting effects for portraits, video shooting, or background ambiance.

6. Maintenance
- Keep the device dry. Do not expose it to moisture or rain.
- Clean the lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

7. Troubleshooting
- Light not turning on: Ensure the device is fully charged. Press and hold the multi-function knob for a few seconds to power on.
- Light not changing colors/brightness: Check if the multi-function knob is functioning correctly. Ensure no debris is obstructing the knob's movement.
- Projected pattern is blurry: Adjust the focus by pulling or pushing the front lens of the flashlight. Ensure the gobo is correctly inserted.
- Short battery life: Ensure the device is fully charged. Battery performance may decrease over time with prolonged use.
