Setup

1. Charging the Headset

Before first use, fully charge the headset. Connect the supplied Type-C charging cable to the headset's charging port and a USB power source. The charging time is approximately 2.5 hours. A full charge provides up to 45 hours of wireless playtime with lighting enabled, or over 70 hours with lighting off and volume at half.

2. Connecting the Headset

The Captain 560 offers three connectivity modes:

2.1. 2.4GHz Wireless Mode (for Xbox, PS5, PC, Switch)

  1. For Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One: Insert the 2.4GHz transmitter into the 3.5mm port of your official Xbox controller. The transmitter features a dual-lock design for secure attachment. The headset will automatically connect, providing low-latency audio (20ms).
  2. For PS5, PS4, PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch: Insert the 2.4GHz transmitter into an available USB-A port on your console or computer. The headset will automatically connect.
  3. Ensure the headset is powered on and the mode switch is set to 2.4G.

Note: Microphone functionality is not supported when connected to Nintendo Switch via 2.4GHz wireless or 3.5mm wired mode. The 2.4GHz transmitter is compatible with official Xbox controllers; third-party Xbox controllers may not be supported.

2.2. Bluetooth 6.0 Mode (for Mobile, PC, Mac)

  1. Ensure the headset is powered on and the mode switch is set to BT.
  2. On your mobile device, PC, or Mac, navigate to Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Captain 560" from the list to pair.

Note: Bluetooth connectivity is intended for mobile devices, PC, and Mac. It is not available for Xbox, PS5, or PS4 consoles.

2.3. 3.5mm Wired Mode (Universal Compatibility)

  1. Connect one end of the supplied 3.5mm audio cable to the headset's 3.5mm port.
  2. Connect the other end to the 3.5mm audio jack of your desired device (Xbox controller, PS4/PS5 controller, PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch).

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button (located on the earcup) for approximately 3 seconds to power the headset on or off.

2. On-Ear Controls

The headset features intuitive controls on the earcup for easy management of audio and settings:

  • Power Button: Press and hold to power on/off.
  • Volume Wheel: Scroll up or down to adjust the audio volume.
  • Mode Switch (2.4G/BT): Slide to switch between 2.4GHz wireless mode and Bluetooth mode.
  • Lighting Button: Press to cycle through or turn off the headset's lighting effects.

3. Integrated Flip-to-Mute Microphone

The Captain 560 features an integrated microphone with noise reduction. To mute the microphone, simply flip it upwards. Flip it back down to unmute. This integrated design offers greater stability compared to detachable microphones.

4. Immersive 3D Surround Sound

The headset is equipped with powerful 50mm dynamic drivers and advanced diaphragm technology to deliver crystal-clear audio and immersive 3D surround sound. This enhances your gaming experience by allowing you to pinpoint in-game audio cues like footsteps and environmental sounds.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

To maintain the headset's condition, gently wipe the earcups and headband with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Do not immerse the headset in water.

2. Storage

The Captain 560 headset features a foldable design for convenient storage and portability. When not in use, fold the earcups inwards to reduce its size. Store the headset in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
