Replace batteries in the main unit and remote sensors when the low battery indicator appears on the display or when performance degrades.

  • Main Unit: Replace 2 x LR6 AA batteries.
  • Remote Sensor: Replace 2 x AA batteries.

Always replace all batteries in a device at the same time with new ones of the same type.

4. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your KALEVOL Weather Station, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
Sensor Not Working / No Reading
  • Battery Issue: Remove batteries from both the main unit and the sensor. Wait 1 to 5 minutes, then reinsert batteries into both devices.
  • Channel Mismatch: Ensure the channel switch (1, 2, or 3) on the sensor matches the selected channel on the main unit.
  • Synchronization: Place the sensor close to the main unit during reconnection. Press the "Sensor" button on the main unit to force signal reception. Allow up to 3 minutes for connection.
  • Range/Obstruction: The sensor may be too far from the main unit or there are significant obstructions (thick walls, metal objects) blocking the signal. Try relocating the sensor closer or in a clearer line of sight.
Inaccurate Readings
  • Initial Stabilization: Data collected by the weather station takes several hours to stabilize. Allow time for accurate readings to appear.
  • Sensor Placement: Ensure outdoor sensors are not in direct sunlight or exposed to direct rain, which can affect temperature readings.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the main unit and sensors have adequate airflow and are not placed near heat sources or vents.
Display is Dim or Blank
  • Battery Power: If running on batteries, the backlight turns off after 15 seconds to save power. Press the "Light/SNZ" button to illuminate. Replace batteries if the display remains dim.
  • Mains Power: If using the adapter, ensure it is securely plugged in and the power outlet is functional.
Time Not Synchronizing (Atomic Clock)
  • Signal Strength: Ensure the unit is placed in an area with good reception for WWVB signals (away from electronics that cause interference).
  • Manual Set: If automatic synchronization fails, manually set the time and date.
