3. Wiring Diagram

Follow the wiring diagram carefully to connect the device to your electrical system. Ensure correct polarity for Live (L) and Neutral (N) connections.

  • Connect the incoming Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires from the grid supply to the 'IN' terminals of the Voltage Protector.
  • Connect the outgoing Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires from the 'OUT' terminals of the Voltage Protector to your house load or subsequent protective devices (e.g., RCBO).
  • Ensure all connections are tight and secure to prevent loose contacts and overheating.
  • Recommended wire sizes: 16 mm² for loads up to 63A, 10 mm² for loads up to 45A, and 6 mm² for loads up to 35A.

Troubleshooting

  • Device Not Powering On: Check the incoming power supply. Ensure Live and Neutral wires are correctly connected and secure.
  • Frequent Tripping: Review your set over-voltage, under-voltage, and over-current parameters. They might be set too sensitively for your electrical environment. Adjust the ranges slightly to accommodate minor fluctuations.
  • No Auto Reconnect: Verify the reconnect time setting. If the fault condition persists, the device will not reconnect until the electrical parameters stabilize.
  • Display Not Working: Ensure the device is receiving power. If power is present and the display is off, contact customer support.
  • Device Destroyed After Surge: This is an intended safety feature. The device is designed to sacrifice itself to protect your appliances from severe surges (above 440V). Replace the device if this occurs.

Maintenance

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Do not expose the device to water or excessive moisture.
  • Periodically check wiring connections to ensure they remain tight and secure.
  • Avoid placing the device near strong electromagnetic fields.
