Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure proper operation and maintenance.

Setup

  1. Install Rotating Component: Insert the rotating component into the base unit.
  2. Rotate Blade to Locked Position: Ensure the slots of the rotor component are aligned with the base, then manually rotate the three-blade until it is securely locked in place and cannot move.
  3. Assemble Food Tank: Place the 5L food tank onto the base unit, aligning the locking mechanisms.
  4. Lock Food Tank: Gently rotate the food tank clockwise until it clicks into the locked position.
  5. Install Desiccant: Open the desiccant box located on the underside of the lid and insert the provided desiccant bag. Close the box securely.
  6. Install Lid: Place the lid onto the food tank and rotate it to lock it in place.
  7. Connect Power Supply: Plug the 5V DC adapter into the feeder and a wall outlet. For uninterrupted operation, install 3 D-cell batteries (not included) in the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit.

Operating Instructions

1. Setting the Current Time

  • Press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds to enter time setting mode. The hour display will flash.
  • Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the hour.
  • Press SET again to switch to minute setting, then use UP and DOWN to adjust minutes.
  • Press SET to confirm and exit.

2. Programming Feeding Schedule

  • Press SET to cycle through meal settings (Meal 1 to Meal 6).
  • When a meal time is flashing, use UP and DOWN to set the desired feeding time.
  • Press SET to move to portion setting. Use UP and DOWN to select 1-20 portions.
  • Repeat for up to 6 meals. Press SET to save and exit.

3. Manual Feeding

  • To manually dispense one portion of food, press both the UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously.

4. Locking Mechanism

  • Press and hold the LOCK button for 3 seconds to lock or unlock the control panel. This prevents accidental changes to settings or pets from feeding themselves.

Maintenance & Cleaning

  • All food-contact components, including the food tank and food bowl, are detachable and washable.
  • To clean, detach the food tank and bowl from the main unit. Wash them with mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling.
  • The main unit should NOT be washed or submerged in water. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
  • Replace the desiccant bag every 30 days to maintain food freshness.

Troubleshooting

  • Food Not Dispensing: Check if the food tank is properly installed and locked. Ensure there is enough food in the tank. Verify that the kibble size is between 0.07 to 0.55 inches (2-15mm) to prevent jamming.
  • Incorrect Portions: Adjust the portion settings in the programming menu. Note that 1 portion is approximately 0.62 oz (3 Tbsp / 0.2 cup) for 0.35-0.39 inch pellets.
  • Feeder Not Powering On: Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the feeder and a working outlet. If using batteries, check that they are correctly installed and not depleted.
  • Settings Not Saving: Make sure to press the SET button to confirm and save changes after adjusting time or meal settings.
