3. Product Overview
3.1 Front Panel
The front panel of the switch features 16x 2.5Gbase-T Ethernet ports (RJ45) and 2x 10G SFP ports. Each port has corresponding LED indicators to display its status.

- PWR (Power) LED:

- 1-16 Port Yellow LED:
- On: 10/100/1000/2500Mbps Link established.

- 1-16 Port Green LED:
- On: 2.5G Link established.
- Off: The link is unavailable or operating at a different speed.
- 17-18 Port 10G SFP LED:

4. Setup
The VIMIN 18-Port 2.5G Unmanaged Network Switch is designed for simple plug-and-play operation. No software configuration is required.
- Placement: Place the switch on a stable, flat surface or mount it in a 19-inch rack. Ensure adequate ventilation around the device.
- Power Connection: Connect the provided power cable to the power input port on the rear panel of the switch and then to a standard AC power outlet (100-240V). The PWR LED will illuminate.
- Network Device Connection:
- Connect your network devices (e.g., computers, NAS, wireless access points, servers) to the 16x 2.5G Ethernet ports using standard Ethernet cables (CAT5e, CAT6, or CAT6a recommended for optimal performance).
- For higher-speed connections, insert compatible 1G/2.5G/10G SFP modules (not included) into the 2x 10G SFP ports and connect fiber optic cables to your SFP-compatible devices.
- Verification: Once devices are connected, observe the LED indicators for each port. A solid yellow or green light indicates a successful link, and flickering indicates data activity.

5. Operating Instructions
As an unmanaged switch, the VIMIN 18-Port 2.5G Network Switch operates automatically once powered on and connected to network devices.
- Power On: Ensure the power cable is securely connected. The switch will power on automatically.
- Network Connectivity: Connect your devices to any available Ethernet or SFP port. The switch will automatically detect the link speed and establish a connection.
- Data Transfer: Data will be transferred between connected devices at the highest supported speed (up to 2.5Gbps for Ethernet ports and 10Gbps for SFP ports).
- Monitoring: Observe the LED indicators to monitor link status and data activity for each port.

6. Maintenance
The VIMIN 18-Port 2.5G Network Switch is designed for minimal maintenance.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the switch. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
- Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings on the sides of the metal housing are not obstructed to allow for proper heat dissipation. The fanless design ensures silent operation.
- Environmental Conditions: Operate the switch within the recommended temperature range of 0°F to 113°F (approximately -17°C to 45°C).
- Lightning Protection: The switch features 4KV lightning protection. However, it is recommended to disconnect the power during electrical storms.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your VIMIN 18-Port 2.5G Network Switch, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Power:
- Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the switch and the power outlet.
- Verify that the power outlet is functional.
- Check if the PWR LED is illuminated.
- No Link on a Port:
- Ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the switch port and the connected device.
- Verify that the connected device is powered on and functioning correctly.
- Try a different Ethernet cable to rule out cable issues.
- For SFP ports, ensure the SFP module is correctly inserted and compatible, and the fiber cable is functional.
- Check the LED indicators for the specific port. If off, there is no link.
- Slow Network Speed:
- Ensure you are using CAT5e, CAT6, or CAT6a Ethernet cables for 2.5G connections. Older cables (e.g., CAT5) may limit speed.
