- Keep bystanders, children, and pets at a safe distance (at least 15 meters / 50 feet) from the operating area.
- Inspect the work area for objects that could be thrown or entangled in the blower. Remove any such objects.
- Handle fuel with extreme care. Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel outdoors in a well-ventilated area, away from sparks, open flames, or heat sources.
- Allow the engine to cool before refueling. Do not smoke while refueling.
- Never operate the blower in an enclosed space due to carbon monoxide fumes.
- Ensure all guards and safety features are in place and functioning correctly before operation.
- Do not modify the equipment. Use only manufacturer-approved replacement parts.
- Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire before performing any maintenance or clearing blockages.

4. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your leaf blower before first use.
- Attach Blower Tubes: Connect the flexible hose to the main unit's air outlet. Secure it with the provided clamp. Then, attach the rigid blower tubes in sequence, ensuring they are firmly connected. Finally, attach the flat blowing head to the end of the tube assembly.
- Fueling: The BBX9900 uses a 4-stroke engine. Fill the fuel tank with unleaded gasoline (above 92#). The fuel tank capacity is 1.9 liters (0.5 gallons). Use the provided funnel to prevent spills. Do not overfill.
- Check Oil Level: Ensure the engine oil level is correct. Refer to the engine manual for specific oil type and capacity.
- Adjust Harness: Put on the backpack harness and adjust the straps for a comfortable and secure fit. The design includes sturdy and breathable straps, along with a thickened backrest and shock absorption springs for operator comfort.

5. Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the controls before starting the engine.
- Starting the Engine:
- Place the blower on a flat, stable surface.
- Move the choke switch to the "CLOSED" position (for cold starts).
- Set the throttle lever to the starting position.
- Pull the starter rope firmly and smoothly until the engine starts. Do not pull the rope to its full extension.
- Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke switch to the "OPEN" position.
- Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before applying full throttle.
- Operating the Blower:
- Once the engine is running, put on the backpack unit.
- Use the cruise control lever on the handle to adjust and maintain the desired engine speed. The infinitely variable speed and constant speed design allow for precise control.
- Direct the flat blowing head towards the debris. The 66.1-inch flame-retardant air outlet pipe supports 180° adjustment up and down, and the hose at the interface allows for direction adjustment.
- Work in a systematic pattern to efficiently clear the area.
- Stopping the Engine:
- Reduce the engine speed to idle.
- Press the engine stop switch to turn off the engine.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of your leaf blower. Always ensure the engine is off and cool, and the spark plug wire is disconnected before performing any maintenance.
- Air Filter: Regularly inspect and clean the air filter paper. A dirty air filter can reduce engine performance and increase fuel consumption. Replace if damaged.
- Spark Plug: Inspect the spark plug periodically. Clean or replace it as needed to ensure reliable starting and efficient engine operation.
- Fuel System: Drain the fuel tank and carburetor if storing the blower for an extended period (over 30 days) to prevent fuel degradation and starting issues.
- General Cleaning: Keep the exterior of the blower clean. Remove any debris from the cooling fins and air intake areas to prevent overheating.
- Storage: Store the blower in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Figure 6.1: The design incorporates dense cooling holes for effective heat dissipation, a thick base for stable placement, and a flat blowing head for efficient debris clearing.
