5. Installation / Setup

Follow these steps carefully to replace your oven's lower bake heating element. Remember to prioritize safety by disconnecting power before starting.

Required Tools (Not Included):

• Screwdriver (Phillips or flathead, depending on oven model)
• Pliers (optional, for stubborn wire connections)
• Work gloves

Installation Steps:

1. Disconnect Power: Locate your oven's circuit breaker in your home's electrical panel and switch it to the OFF position. Alternatively, unplug the oven from the wall outlet if accessible. Verify power is off by attempting to turn on the oven light or controls.
2. Prepare the Oven: Open the oven door completely. Remove all oven racks and any other removable accessories to provide clear access to the oven cavity.
3. Locate the Old Element: The lower bake element is typically located at the bottom of the oven cavity. It is usually held in place by two screws at the back of the oven.

10. Replace Oven Racks: Once the element is securely installed, replace all oven racks and accessories.
11. Restore Power: Go back to your circuit breaker or fuse box and restore power to the oven.
