5. Setup and Initial Preparation

5.1 Assembly of Guide Bar and Chain

Follow these steps to correctly assemble the guide bar and chain:

1. Open the side cover of the chainsaw.
2. Install the wood tooth (bumper spike).
3. Install the guide bar onto the studs.
4. Install the saw chain, ensuring the direction of the teeth is correct. The cutting edges should face forward along the top of the guide bar.
5. Close the side cover, adjust the chain tension so that the distance between the chain bottom and guide bar is 2-4 mm.
6. Lock the side cover securely.

5.2 Fuel and Chain Oil Filling

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Starting the Chainsaw

The chainsaw offers both cold and hot start options:

Cold Start (Engine is cold)

1. Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible.
2. Close the choke (move the air flap lever to the choke position).
3. Pull the starter rope 3-5 times until the engine briefly fires or attempts to start.
4. Open the choke (move the air flap lever to the run position).
5. Pull the starter rope again until the engine starts.

Hot Start (Engine is warm)

1. Ensure the choke is open (air flap lever in run position).
2. Pull the starter rope 3-5 times until the engine starts.

To stop the engine, simply press the engine switch to the "OFF" position. In an emergency, push the chain brake lever forward to engage the brake and stop the chain, then turn off the engine switch.
