2. Setup

2.1 Package Contents

2.2 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the camcorder.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the NP-40 rechargeable battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  5. Charge the batteries fully before first use.

2.3 SD Card Installation and Formatting

The camcorder supports SD/SDHC Class 10 cards up to 128 GB. A 32GB SD card is included.

  1. Locate the SD card slot on the camcorder.
  2. Insert the SD card with the metal contacts facing the correct direction until it clicks into place.
  3. Turn on the camcorder.
  4. Navigate to the system settings menu.
  5. Select the 'Format SD Card' option and confirm. Formatting the card prepares it for use with the camcorder and deletes all existing data.

2.4 Attaching External Accessories

External Microphone: Connect the external microphone to the designated microphone port on the camcorder. This enhances audio recording quality.

Handheld Stabilizer: Attach the camcorder to the handheld stabilizer using the 1/4 inch thread mount. This accessory helps achieve stable video recordings, especially during movement.

3. Operating the Camcorder

3.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the power button until the screen illuminates.
  • To power off, press and hold the power button again until the screen turns off.

3.2 Recording Video

  1. Ensure the camcorder is in video mode.
  2. Press the 'Record' button to start recording. A red indicator light or on-screen icon will confirm recording is active.
  3. Press the 'Record' button again to stop recording.

3.3 Capturing Photos

  1. Ensure the camcorder is in photo mode.

3.4 Using the 3.0-inch 270° Rotating IPS Screen

The camcorder features a 3.0-inch IPS screen that can rotate up to 270 degrees. This allows for flexible viewing angles, including self-recording. Gently rotate the screen to your desired position.

3.5 Digital Zoom (18X)

Utilize the zoom controls on the camcorder to adjust the 18X digital zoom. This allows you to magnify distant subjects. Note that digital zoom may affect image quality at higher magnifications.

3.6 IR Night Vision

The camcorder includes an infrared (IR) night vision function for recording in low-light or dark conditions. When activated, the camera captures clear black and white images and videos. To activate/deactivate, locate the IR function button or setting in the menu.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Camcorder
