2. Setup and Installation
This enclosure features a tool-free design for quick and easy installation of your M.2 NVMe SSD.
2.1. SSD Compatibility
The enclosure supports M-Key and B+M-Key NVMe PCIe SSDs in sizes 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280. It does not support M.2 SATA NGFF SSDs or SSDs with heatsinks thicker than 3.5mm.

2.2. Installing the SSD
- Gently slide open the enclosure cover.
- Insert your M.2 NVMe SSD into the slot. The tool-free design secures the SSD without screws.

- New SSD Formatting: A brand-new SSD must be initialized and formatted before it can be recognized by the operating system. Use Disk Management on Windows or Disk Utility on macOS to perform this process.
- File System Compatibility: Ensure your drive is formatted with a file system supported by your operating system. NTFS or exFAT is recommended for Windows, and APFS or HFS+ for macOS. Drives with unsupported file systems may not appear.
