2. Safety Instructions
To prevent injury to users or damage to the product, always observe the following basic safety precautions:
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the specifications (110V). Do not operate with a damaged power cord or plug. Avoid using extension cords.
- Water Connection: Connect the unit to a potable water supply. Ensure all water connections are secure to prevent leaks.
- Placement: Place the ice machine on a stable, level surface. Allow adequate ventilation around the unit. Do not block air vents.

4. Setup and Installation
Before installation, ensure the ice machine remains upright for 24 hours. This allows the refrigerant to settle properly.
4.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully remove all packaging materials.
- Place the ice machine on a firm, level surface.
- Ensure adequate clearance around the unit for ventilation (at least 5 inches on sides and back).
- The unit is designed for under-counter, freestanding, or countertop use.
4.2 Water Connection
The ice machine supports two water inlet modes:
- Direct Tap Water Connection: Connect the inlet tube (1/4") to a potable water faucet. Install the provided water filter in-line as shown in Figure 6. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
- Gallon-Bottled Water: For this mode, ensure the bottled water system is correctly connected to the ice machine's water inlet.

4.3 Drainage Connection
Connect the drain hose to the ice water outlet and route it to a suitable drain. Ensure the drain hose has a continuous downward slope to allow for proper water drainage.
4.4 Power Connection
Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet (110V). Do not use adapters or extension cords.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Initial Start-up
- After connecting water and power, press the On/Off button on the LCD panel to start the machine.
- The machine will perform an initial self-check.
- The first few cycles of ice may be smaller or irregular. Discard the first batch of ice.
5.2 Adjusting Ice Thickness
Use the Thickness Adjustable function on the LCD panel to select your desired ice cube thickness. Refer to Figure 3 for visual guidance on thin, medium, and thick ice.
- Thin Ice: 5-8 minutes per cycle.
- Medium Ice: 8-11 minutes per cycle.
- Thick Ice: 11-15 minutes per cycle.
5.3 Timer and Reservation
The LCD panel allows you to set a timer for delayed start or stop, and to make a reservation for ice production. Consult Figure 5 for button locations and indicators.
5.4 Ice Full Reminder
The machine will automatically stop ice production and display an "ice-full" reminder when the storage bin is full. Production will resume once ice is removed.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and hygienic operation of your ice machine.
6.1 Automatic Cleaning Function
The Garvee ice machine features an automatic self-cleaning function. To activate:
- Ensure the machine is connected to a water supply.
- Press the Auto Clean button on the LCD panel.
- The machine will initiate a cleaning cycle, circulating water to clean internal components.

6.2 Manual Cleaning
- Exterior: Wipe the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
- Interior: Periodically clean the ice storage bin and ice-making components with a solution of water and vinegar or a food-grade ice machine cleaner. Rinse thoroughly.
- Water Filter: Replace the water filter regularly according to usage or manufacturer recommendations to ensure pure ice quality.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ice machine, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
