1. Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your Yinleader 3000W Step Up/Down Voltage Converter Transformer. This device is designed to convert electrical voltage, allowing appliances from different regions to be used safely. It can step up voltage from 110-120V to 220-240V, or step down voltage from 220-240V to 110-120V.
Please read this manual thoroughly before using the converter and retain it for future reference.
2. Safety Information
To prevent injury or damage to the converter and connected appliances, observe the following safety precautions:
- Appliance Wattage: For optimal use, select a voltage converter with a maximum wattage rating at least 50% higher than your appliance's rated wattage. For appliances with motors or heating elements (e.g., heating appliances, power tools, laser printers, coffee makers), a converter with 2-4 times the rated wattage may be required due to higher startup power demands.
- Frequency Compatibility: This transformer converts voltage only; it does not change the electrical frequency (Hz). Ensure your appliance is compatible with the local 50/60Hz frequency before use.
- Ventilation: Ensure the converter is placed in a well-ventilated area. Do not block the ventilation openings.
- Moisture: Do not expose the converter to rain, moisture, or excessive humidity.
- Overload Protection: The unit is equipped with a resettable circuit breaker. If an overload occurs, the breaker will trip automatically. Disconnect the appliance, reduce the load, and press the breaker button to reset.
- Input Voltage Selection: Always verify the correct input voltage is selected on the rear panel before connecting the converter to a power source. Incorrect selection can cause damage.
- Grounding: Ensure the converter is properly grounded.
- Children: Keep the converter out of reach of children.
3. Product Features
- Power Capacity: 3000 Watts maximum.

4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the converter from its packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage.
- Placement: Place the converter on a stable, flat surface in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and flammable materials. Ensure adequate space around the unit for air circulation.
- Select Input Voltage: Locate the red input voltage selector switch on the rear panel of the unit.
- If your local power supply is 110V/120V (e.g., USA, Canada, Mexico) and you wish to use 220V-240V appliances, set the switch to "110V".
- If your local power supply is 220V/230V/240V (e.g., China, Australia, UK, Germany, Italy) and you wish to use 110V-120V appliances, set the switch to "230V".
- Connect Power Cord: Plug the converter's power cord into a suitable wall outlet. If using in a 220V-240V country, you may need a plug adapter (not included) for the US power cord.
5. Operating Instructions
- Connect Appliance: Plug your appliance into the appropriate output socket on the front panel:
- For 110V-120V appliances, use the two (2) US standard sockets labeled "Output 110V-120V".
- For 220V-240V appliances, use the two (2) universal sockets labeled "Output 220V-240V".
- Power On: Flip the red ON/OFF switch on the front panel to the "ON" position. The green Power LED will illuminate, indicating the unit is active.
- Use Appliance: Operate your connected appliance as usual.
- Power Off: When finished, turn off your appliance, then flip the converter's ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position. Unplug the appliance from the converter, and then unplug the converter from the wall outlet.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the converter from the power source before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the converter in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord and unit for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Converter does not power on. | No power from wall outlet; Power cord not fully plugged in; ON/OFF switch is off. | Check wall outlet with another device; Ensure power cord is securely plugged in; Flip ON/OFF switch to "ON". |
| Appliance not working after connecting to converter. | Incorrect input voltage selected; Appliance wattage exceeds converter capacity; Appliance not compatible with frequency; Appliance is faulty. | Verify input voltage selector switch setting; Ensure appliance wattage is within converter limits (refer to Section 2); Confirm appliance frequency compatibility; Test appliance directly if possible. |
| Circuit breaker trips. | Overload condition (appliance draws too much power). | Disconnect the appliance. Reduce the load by using a lower wattage appliance or fewer appliances. Press the resettable circuit breaker button on the rear panel to reset. |
