Operating Instructions

Battery Charge Indicator

Many AL-KO tools and chargers feature a battery charge indicator (usually LED lights). Refer to your specific tool's manual for details on how to check the battery's charge level. Typically, multiple green lights indicate a full charge, while fewer lights or a red light indicate a low charge.

Charging Process

  1. Insert the battery into the compatible AL-KO 36V charger.
  2. Plug the charger into a suitable power outlet.
  3. Monitor the charger's indicator lights. The lights will typically change to indicate charging in progress and full charge.
  4. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger to prevent overcharging, although modern chargers often have protection mechanisms.

Optimal Usage

  • Allow the battery to cool down before recharging if it has been heavily used.
  • Avoid completely draining the battery frequently, as this can reduce its overall lifespan.
  • For best performance, operate tools within recommended temperature ranges.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the battery casing with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Keep the battery terminals clean and free of debris.

Storage

  • For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50-70% capacity.
  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place, ideally between 10°C and 20°C (50°F and 68°F).
  • Avoid storing the battery in direct sunlight or in areas with high humidity.
