1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the BREND BR-2234 XXL Air Fryer and Steam Oven. This versatile appliance combines the functions of an air fryer, steam oven, and convection oven, offering a wide range of cooking possibilities. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use to ensure safe operation and optimal performance. Keep this manual for future reference.

2. Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using the appliance.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- Oversized foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in a toaster oven as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock.
- A fire may occur if the oven is covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
- Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts, creating a risk of electric shock.
- Do not store any materials, other than manufacturer's recommended accessories, in this oven when not in use.
- Do not place any of the following materials in the oven: paper, cardboard, plastic, or anything similar.
- Do not cover crumb tray or any part of the oven with metal foil. This will cause overheating of the oven.
- To turn off this appliance, press the power button.

3.1 Components

3.3 Control Panel
The intuitive LED touch screen allows for easy control of all functions. It displays temperature, time, and selected mode.

4. Setup and First Use
4.1 Unpacking
- Remove all packaging materials and promotional labels from the oven.
- Check that all listed accessories are present.
- Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.
4.2 Placement
- Place the oven on a stable, heat-resistant, and level surface.
- Ensure there is adequate clearance (at least 10 cm) on all sides and above the oven for proper ventilation.
- Do not place the oven near flammable materials or heat sources.
4.3 Initial Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the oven with a damp cloth.
- Wash all accessories (baking tray, wire rack, rotisserie parts, air fry basket) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Do not immerse the main unit in water.
4.4 First Use (Burn-in)
Before cooking food, it is recommended to run the oven empty to burn off any manufacturing residues:
- Plug the oven into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Select the "Bake" function.
- Set the temperature to 200°C (390°F) and the timer to 15 minutes.
- Allow the oven to run. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal.
- Once complete, open the door to ventilate and allow the oven to cool down.
5. Operating Instructions
The BREND BR-2234 offers 10 versatile cooking programs:

5.1 General Operation
- Power On: Plug in the oven and press the power button on the control panel.
- Select Mode: Use the "MODE" button or touch controls to cycle through the available cooking programs.
- Adjust Settings: Use the "TIME/TEMP" button and arrow keys to set the desired temperature (35°C - 230°C) and cooking time (0 - 720 minutes).
- Start Cooking: Press the "START/PAUSE" button to begin the cooking cycle.
- Pause/Stop: Press "START/PAUSE" to pause, or hold the power button to stop the operation.
5.2 Using Steam Functions
For steam cooking, ensure the water reservoir is filled.

Benefits of steam cooking:
- Uniform Heating: Ensures even cooking throughout.
- Vitamin Preservation: Helps retain nutrients in food.

5.3 Air Frying
Use the air fry basket for crispy results. The 360° hot air circulation ensures even cooking without the need for flipping.
5.4 Rotisserie Function
Attach food to the rotisserie spit and insert it into the designated slots inside the oven. Use the rotisserie handle for safe removal.

5.5 Other Functions
- Baking/Traditional Cooking: Ideal for cakes, bread, and casseroles.
- Dehydration: For drying fruits, vegetables, or making jerky.
- Fermentation: Perfect for making yogurt or proofing dough.
- Reheating: Gently warms food without drying it out.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
6.1 Self-Cleaning Function
The oven features a self-cleaning function using water, which simplifies post-cooking cleanup. Refer to the control panel for activating this mode.

6.2 Manual Cleaning
- Always unplug the oven and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner.
- The water reservoir should be emptied and cleaned regularly to prevent mineral buildup.
- Dishwasher Safe Accessories: The baking tray, wire rack, rotisserie spit, and air fry basket are dishwasher compatible for easy cleaning.

- Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or metal scouring pads on any part of the oven or its accessories.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your BREND BR-2234 oven, please refer to the following table before contacting customer support.
