  2. Attach the Head Immobilizer: Position the head immobilizer at the top end of the spine board. Secure it firmly using its integrated straps or hook-and-loop fasteners to prevent movement during patient transfer. Ensure the ear holes are clear for patient assessment.
  3. Adjust the Neck Brace: The neck brace features a sponge device that can be adjusted to three positions: low, medium, and high. Select the appropriate height based on patient needs and secure it around the patient's neck once they are on the board.
  4. Prepare Straps: Ensure all patient restraint straps are properly threaded through the designated slots on the spine board and are ready for quick application.

5. Operating Instructions

Proper operation of the spinal immobilization board is crucial for patient safety.

  1. Patient Assessment: Before placing the patient on the board, conduct a thorough assessment and stabilize the head and neck manually.
  2. Patient Placement: Carefully log-roll the patient onto the spine board, maintaining inline spinal stabilization throughout the process.
  3. Secure the Torso: Use the torso straps to firmly secure the patient's chest and abdomen to the board. Ensure straps are snug but do not impede breathing.
  4. Apply Neck Brace: Position the neck brace around the patient's neck, adjusting it to the appropriate height for optimal cervical support.
  5. Secure the Head: Place the head immobilizer pads on either side of the patient's head and secure the head straps across the forehead and chin. Ensure the head is centered and fully immobilized.
  6. Secure Legs: Use leg straps to secure the patient's lower extremities to the board.
  7. Transport: Utilize the surrounding pulling handles for multi-person lifting and transport. Maintain a stable and level position during movement. The board is suitable for various environments, including water rescue.
