3. Setup

3.1 Installing the Dash Cam

  1. Prepare the SD Card: Insert a high-speed Micro SD card (Class 10 or higher, up to 128GB, not included) into the TF card slot on the dash cam. Format the card through the dash cam's menu before first use.
  2. Mount the Main Unit: Attach the dash cam to your vehicle's windshield using the provided suction cup mount. Ensure it is positioned to provide a clear view of the road ahead without obstructing your driving view.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the power cable (car charger) into the dash cam's Type-C port and the other end into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Route the cable neatly to avoid interference.
  4. Install Rear Camera: Connect the extended line to the rear camera and route it to the back of your vehicle. Mount the rear camera on the rear windshield or near the license plate. Connect the extended line to the main dash cam unit.

3.2 Initial Power On and Settings

Once connected to power, the dash cam will typically power on automatically when the vehicle starts. Follow the on-screen prompts to set the date, time, and preferred language. Access the settings menu via the touch screen to adjust recording resolution, loop recording duration, G-sensor sensitivity, and parking monitor options.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Recording

  • Automatic Recording: The dash cam begins recording automatically when the vehicle's ignition is turned on.
  • Manual Recording: Press the designated button (if available) or tap the screen icon to manually start/stop recording.
  • Emergency Lock: In case of a sudden impact, the G-sensor will automatically lock the current video segment to prevent it from being overwritten. You can also manually lock a recording by pressing the emergency lock button.

4.2 Menu Navigation

The 3-inch touch screen allows for easy navigation through the device's menus. Swipe or tap on icons to access settings, playback recorded videos, or switch between camera views.

4.3 Viewing Footage

Recorded videos can be viewed directly on the dash cam's screen via the playback menu. Alternatively, remove the Micro SD card and insert it into a computer or compatible device to view the files.

5. Advanced Features

5.1 G-Sensor & Emergency Lock

The built-in G-sensor detects sudden acceleration, braking, or collisions. When triggered, it automatically locks the current video file, protecting it from being overwritten by loop recording. This ensures critical footage from incidents is preserved.

5.2 24-Hour Parking Monitor

When enabled, the parking monitor feature allows the dash cam to continue surveillance even when your vehicle is parked and the ignition is off. It uses motion detection or G-sensor triggers to automatically start recording if an impact or movement is detected near the vehicle.

5.3 Loop Recording

Loop recording ensures continuous video capture by overwriting the oldest unlocked files when the Micro SD card reaches its storage limit. This eliminates the need for manual deletion of old footage.

5.4 Super Night Vision

The dash cam is equipped with advanced night vision technology, including 8 infrared LEDs for the interior cameras, to capture clear video footage even in extremely low-light or dark conditions. This is particularly useful for monitoring the vehicle's interior and for clear exterior recordings at night.

6. Maintenance

  • SD Card Care: Regularly format your Micro SD card (at least once a month) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Use only high-quality, genuine Class 10 or higher Micro SD cards.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dash cam's lens and screen. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods, as this can affect battery life and device performance.
