5.1. Measuring Your Window

Inside Mount:
- Window Depth: Must be ≥ 2.6 inches (6.6 cm).
- Width: Measure the window width at the top, middle, and bottom of the inner frame. Take the minimum of these three measurements and subtract 1/4 inch (0.64 cm) for the final order width.
- Height: Measure the window height at the left, center, and right vertical positions of the inner frame. Take the maximum of these three measurements. The maximum height should be ≤ 72 inches (182.88 cm).
Outside Mount:
- Width: Measure the window width at the top, middle, and bottom of the outer frame. Take the maximum of these three measurements and add 4 inches (10.16 cm) for the final order width.
- Height: Measure the window height at the left, center, and right vertical positions of the outer frame. Take the maximum of these three measurements. The maximum height should be ≤ 68 inches (172.72 cm).

5.2. Recommended Installation Tools

5.3. Installation Steps
- Step 1: Paste the Positioning Strip. Use the provided reference slip to mark the drilling locations for either inside or outside mount. Ensure it is level.

- Step 2: Drill Holes. Using the marked positions from the strip, drill holes into the wall or window frame.

- Step 3: Screw in the Screws. Insert wall anchors (if needed) and then screw the mounting brackets into place.

- Step 4: Hang the Roller Blind. Carefully align the roller blind with the installed brackets and snap it into place. Ensure it is securely seated.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Remote Control Operation
Your JaeJaes Smart Roller Shades come with a dedicated remote control for easy operation. The remote allows you to raise, lower, and stop the shades, as well as set favorite positions.
- Up Arrow: Raises the shade.
- Down Arrow: Lowers the shade.
- Pause Button: Stops the shade at its current position.
- Channel Buttons (if applicable): Select which shade to control if you have multiple units paired to one remote.
- Setting Button: Used for pairing and setting limits (refer to the remote's specific instructions for advanced settings).

6.2. Smart Control with Alexa
Your smart roller shades can be controlled hands-free using Alexa. No gateway is required for direct connection with select Echo devices that have a built-in Zigbee chip.
Compatible Echo Devices (with built-in Zigbee chip):
- Echo (4th Gen)
- Echo Plus
- Echo Show 10 (all models except 1st Gen)
- Echo Studio
For other Echo devices without a built-in Zigbee chip, a separate Smart Hub (sold separately) is required to bridge the connection.

Pairing with Alexa:
