6. Operating Instructions

Once installed, the VEVOR Pocket Door Frame Kit provides effortless door operation. Simply push or pull the door to slide it into or out of the wall cavity. The soft-close mechanism will engage automatically as the door approaches its fully open or closed position, gently slowing it down to prevent slamming and reduce noise.

  • To open the door: Gently pull the door out of the wall pocket until it is fully extended. The soft-close mechanism will engage to smoothly stop the door.
  • To close the door: Gently push the door into the wall pocket until it is fully recessed. The soft-close mechanism will engage to smoothly guide the door to its closed position.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and smooth operation of your pocket door frame kit.

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the visible parts of the track and hangers periodically with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Lubrication: If the door movement becomes less smooth over time, apply a silicone-based lubricant to the track and roller bearings. Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can attract dust.
  • Fastener Check: Periodically check all screws and fasteners to ensure they are tight. Retighten if necessary.
  • Soft Close Mechanism: Ensure the soft close mechanism is functioning correctly. If it becomes less effective, check for any obstructions or wear on the triggers and adjust as needed.
