Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on/off or dim. | No power to the switch; incorrect wiring; incompatible bulb; defective unit. | Check circuit breaker. Verify wiring connections (Line, Load, Neutral, Ground). Ensure bulbs are dimmable and within wattage limits (LED/CFL up to 200W, Incandescent/Halogen up to 600W). If all checks fail, contact customer support. |
| Wireless remote does not control the switch. | Remote not paired; remote battery low/dead; remote out of range. | Re-pair the remote with the switch (see "Pairing the Wireless Remote" section). Replace the CR2032 battery in the remote. Ensure remote is within operating range of the switch. |
| Cannot connect to Alexa or voice control not working. | Alexa device not connected to Wi-Fi; switch not discovered by Alexa; incorrect device name in Alexa app. | Ensure your Alexa Echo device is online and connected to your home Wi-Fi (2.4GHz or 5GHz). Say "Alexa, discover new devices." Check the device name in the Alexa app and use that name in voice commands. |
| Lights flicker or buzz when dimmed. | Incompatible bulbs; poor quality bulbs; electrical interference. | Ensure you are using high-quality dimmable LED/CFL bulbs. Some bulbs may not be fully compatible with all dimmers. Try different brands of dimmable bulbs. |
| Switch box is too bulky to fit wires. | Limited space in electrical box. | Carefully fold wires into the box. If space is extremely limited, consult an electrician for solutions such as a deeper electrical box. |
