3. Setup: Adding Cards to Your WELOCK Smart Lock

To enable access with your new IC Cards, you must first add them to your WELOCK Smart Lock. This can be done either directly on the lock or through the WELOCK mobile application.

Method 1: Using the WELOCK App

  1. Download and install the official WELOCK APP on your smartphone (available for Android).
  2. Ensure your WELOCK Smart Lock is paired with the app via Bluetooth.
  3. Open the WELOCK APP and navigate to the lock management section.
  4. Select the option to "Add Card" or "Add RFID Tag".
  5. Locate the QR code printed on the back of your WELOCK IC Card.
  6. Use the app's scanner function to scan the QR code on the card.
  7. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the registration process. The card will now be linked to your smart lock.

Method 2: Direct Addition to the WELOCK Smart Lock (Refer to your specific lock's manual for detailed steps)

While the app method is recommended for ease of use, some WELOCK Smart Locks may allow direct card addition. Please consult the instruction manual provided with your specific WELOCK Smart Lock for detailed steps on how to enter programming mode and register new RFID cards directly.

4. Operating Instructions

Once your WELOCK IC Cards are successfully registered with your smart lock, using them for access is straightforward.

  1. Approach your WELOCK Smart Lock.
  2. Hold the registered IC Card close to the designated RFID reader area on the lock. The card reading distance is typically 0-10 cm.
  3. The lock will emit an audible signal (e.g., a beep) or display a visual indicator (e.g., a green light) to confirm successful card reading.
  4. The lock will then unlock, allowing you to open the door.
  5. The lock may automatically re-lock after a set period (if the auto-lock feature is enabled), or you may need to manually lock it depending on your lock's configuration.

The card reading time is typically between 1-2 milliseconds, ensuring quick access.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and reliable performance of your WELOCK IC Cards, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep Dry: Avoid exposing the cards to water or high humidity, as this can damage the internal RFID chip.
  • Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not expose the cards to extreme heat or cold.
  • Handle with Care: Avoid bending, scratching, or puncturing the cards. While durable, excessive force can cause damage.
  • Clean Gently: If cleaning is necessary, wipe the card with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store cards in a safe place, away from strong magnetic fields, which could potentially interfere with their function.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your WELOCK IC Cards, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Card Not Reading:
    • Ensure the card is held within the optimal reading distance (0-10 cm) of the lock's RFID reader.
    • Verify that the card has been correctly registered with your WELOCK Smart Lock via the app or direct method.
    • Check if the smart lock's batteries are low. Low battery power can affect reader performance.
    • Try another registered card to determine if the issue is with a specific card or the lock itself.
  • Lost Card:
    • Immediately remove the lost card's access permissions from your WELOCK Smart Lock using the WELOCK app to maintain security.
  • App Connectivity Issues:
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
    • Make sure you are within Bluetooth range of your smart lock.
    • Restart the WELOCK app or your smartphone.

For persistent issues, please refer to your WELOCK Smart Lock's specific manual or contact customer support.
