1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the KONNWEI RC-10 Car Battery Tester and Charger. This 2-in-1 device combines a 12V 10A / 24V 5A intelligent battery charger with advanced pulse repair technology. It is designed to efficiently charge, maintain, and restore various types of lead-acid and LiFePO4 lithium batteries, extending their lifespan and ensuring optimal performance for your vehicles and equipment.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Read all safety warnings and instructions before using this product. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

• Always wear eye protection and gloves when working with batteries.
• Ensure the work area is well-ventilated.
• Do not expose the charger to rain or wet conditions.
• Do not operate the charger if it has been dropped or damaged.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Disconnect the power supply before making or breaking connections to the battery.
• Avoid short-circuiting the output terminals.
• The charger is designed for 12V/24V lead-acid (AGM, GEL, SLA, Flooded, EFB) and LiFePO4 lithium batteries only. Do not use with other battery types.

4. Product Overview

5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your KONNWEI RC-10 for use:

1. Prepare the Battery: Ensure the battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion. If necessary, clean them with a wire brush.
2. Connect to Battery:
   • Connect the RED (+) positive clamp to the positive battery terminal.
   • Connect the BLACK (-) negative clamp to the negative battery terminal.

   Ensure a secure connection. The charger will automatically detect the battery voltage (12V or 24V).

3. Connect to Power: Plug the charger's power cord into a standard 110-220V AC power outlet. The charger will power on and display the current battery status.

6. Operating Instructions

The RC-10 features an intuitive interface and automatic operation. Once connected, it will begin the charging process based on the detected battery type and condition.

6.1 Mode Selection

The RC-10 offers five selectable modes to optimize charging for different battery types and conditions. Press the MODE button to cycle through the options:

• STD (Standard): Standard charging mode, suitable for general lead-acid batteries.
• AGM/GEL: Suitable for ordinary lead-acid batteries and maintenance-free batteries including AGM, GEL, SLA, WET, DEEP CYCLE, EFB, Calcium, etc.
• LiFePO4 (LF): Suitable for charging 14.8V LiFePO4 Lithium batteries or motorcycle Lithium batteries.
• MOTO: Suitable for charging 6V motorbike batteries.
• Repair: For battery maintenance or to activate the battery. Use for batteries left unused for a long time, old, or cannot be charged. (Note: Not all batteries can be repaired.)

6.2 7-Stage Charging Process

The RC-10 employs a sophisticated 7-stage charging algorithm to ensure efficient and safe charging, extending battery life:

1. Desulfation: Breaks down battery sulfation to restore capacity.
2. Soft Start: Gentle power-up to protect sensitive batteries.
3. Bulk Charge: Rapid charging to reach 80% capacity.
4. Absorption: Balances voltage for full charge.
5. Battery Test: Automatically evaluates health status.
6. Recondition: Pulse repair to revive aged cells.
7. Float & Maintenance: Long-term trickle charge to prevent self-discharge.

6.3 Pulse Repair Function

The advanced pulse repair function uses pulsed voltage and current to detect and repair sulfation and acid stratification, common issues that reduce battery performance. This technology helps revive lost capacity and extends battery life.

• Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: Store the charger in a cool, dry place when not in use. Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Cable Care: Inspect the charging cables and clamps regularly for any signs of damage, fraying, or corrosion. Replace if necessary.
• Cooling Fan: Ensure the cooling fan vents are not obstructed to allow proper airflow and prevent overheating.
