2. Safety Information
Operating a generator can be hazardous. Always follow these safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, serious injury, or death.
- Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide (CO), an odorless, colorless, and deadly gas. Operate the generator outdoors only, far away from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate indoors, in garages, or in partially enclosed areas.
- Electrical Shock Hazard: Never operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are dry and properly insulated. Use ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protected extension cords.
- Fire Hazard: Fuel is highly flammable. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow open flames near the generator. Store fuel in approved containers.
- Hot Surfaces: The generator engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for a period after shutdown. Avoid contact to prevent burns.
- Read the Manual: Always read and understand the entire instruction manual before attempting to operate or service the generator.

5. Setup
Before first use, perform the following setup steps:
- Unpacking and Assembly:
- Remove the generator and all components from the packaging.
- Attach the wheels and support feet as per the quick start guide instructions.
- Install the handle for easy maneuverability.
- Add Engine Oil:
- Place the generator on a level surface.
- Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Using the provided funnel, slowly add the recommended engine oil (e.g., 10W-30) until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
- Securely replace the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Add Fuel (Gasoline or Propane):
- For Gasoline: Ensure the generator is off and cool. Open the fuel cap and carefully pour fresh, unleaded gasoline into the fuel tank. Do not fill above the red indicator ring. Securely close the fuel cap.
- For Propane (LPG): Connect the provided LPG hose to a standard 20 lbs. propane tank and to the generator's LPG inlet. Ensure all connections are tight.
6. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and effective generator operation.
6.1. Control Panel Overview

Image 6.1: Control Panel Layout
- CO Sensor: Indicates carbon monoxide levels.
- Hour Meter: Displays total operating hours.
- AC Outlets: Various 120V and 120V/240V outlets for connecting appliances.
- DC Outlets: USB-A and USB-C ports for charging small electronic devices.
- EZ Start System: Ignition switch for starting the engine.
6.2. Starting the Generator (Gasoline)
- Ensure the generator is on a level outdoor surface, away from any structures.
- Confirm the oil level is correct.
- Turn the fuel valve to the 'ON' position.
- Move the choke lever to the 'CHOKE' position (if engine is cold).
- Turn the EZ Start switch to the 'START' position. Once the engine starts, release the switch.
- Gradually move the choke lever to the 'RUN' position as the engine warms up.
6.3. Starting the Generator (Propane)
- Ensure the generator is on a level outdoor surface, away from any structures.
- Confirm the oil level is correct.
- Ensure the gasoline fuel valve is in the 'OFF' position.
- Open the valve on the propane tank.
- Move the choke lever to the 'CHOKE' position (if engine is cold).
- Turn the EZ Start switch to the 'START' position. Once the engine starts, release the switch.
- Gradually move the choke lever to the 'RUN' position as the engine warms up.
6.4. Stopping the Generator
- Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator.
- If running on gasoline, turn the fuel valve to the 'OFF' position and allow the engine to run until it stalls from fuel starvation. This helps prevent carburetor issues.
- If running on propane, close the valve on the propane tank and allow the engine to run until it stalls.
- Turn the EZ Start switch to the 'OFF' position.
6.5. Connecting Electrical Loads
Once the generator is running stably, you can connect your electrical devices. Ensure the total wattage of connected devices does not exceed the generator's running wattage.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and reliable operation of your generator.
- Engine Oil: Check oil level before each use. Change oil after the first 20 hours of operation, then every 100 hours or annually.
- Air Filter: Inspect and clean the air filter every 50 hours or more frequently in dusty conditions. Replace if damaged.
- Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug every 100 hours. Replace if worn or fouled.
- Fuel Filter: Inspect periodically and replace if clogged.
- General Cleaning: Keep the generator clean and free of debris.
- Storage: For extended storage, drain the fuel tank and carburetor (if using gasoline) or disconnect the propane tank. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area.
8. Troubleshooting
If your generator experiences issues, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Engine will not start | No fuel, low oil, choke position incorrect, spark plug issue, fuel valve off | Add fuel, check oil level, adjust choke, inspect/replace spark plug, open fuel valve |
| No power output | Circuit breaker tripped, GFCI tripped, overloaded | Reset circuit breakers, reset GFCI outlets, reduce electrical load |
| Engine runs rough | Stale fuel, dirty air filter, spark plug issue | Use fresh fuel, clean/replace air filter, inspect/replace spark plug |
| CO Sensor light on / Engine shuts off | High carbon monoxide levels detected | Move generator to a more open outdoor area with better ventilation. Allow to cool before restarting. |
