  • Ice Dispenser Lever: Used to dispense ice directly into your cup.
  • Ice Outlet: Where the nugget ice is dispensed.

  • ADD WATER Indicator: Illuminates when the water level in the tank is low and needs refilling.
  • ICE Indicator: Illuminates when the machine is actively producing ice.
  • CLEAN Indicator: Illuminates during the self-cleaning cycle.
  • ON/OFF Button: Press to turn the unit on or off. Press and hold for 5 seconds to activate the self-cleaning function.
  • Ice Quantity Indicator: A five-level indicator that shows the approximate amount of ice remaining in the storage basket.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Retain the packaging materials for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the ice maker on a flat, stable, and level surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources (e.g., stoves, ovens). Ensure there is at least 6 inches (15 cm) of clearance around the sides and back for proper ventilation.
  3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, it is recommended to run the self-cleaning cycle.
    • Fill the water tank with clean, potable water.
    • Plug the unit into a grounded electrical outlet.
    • Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds until the "CLEAN" indicator light illuminates. The cleaning cycle will run for approximately 10 minutes.
    • Once the cycle is complete, unplug the unit and drain all water from the tank and internal reservoir using the drain plug at the bottom.
    • Wipe the interior and exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
  4. Fill Water Tank: Remove the 2.4L water tank from the rear of the unit. Fill it with fresh, potable water. Reinsert the tank securely into its position.

Operation

  1. Power On: Ensure the water tank is filled and the unit is plugged into a grounded outlet. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the ice maker. The "ICE" indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Ice Production: The machine will begin its ice-making cycle. The first batch of nugget ice typically takes 8-11 minutes. Subsequent batches may be faster. The machine can produce up to 50 pounds of ice in 24 hours under optimal conditions.

  3. Dispensing Ice: Place your cup or glass under the ice outlet. Pull the ice dispenser lever forward to release the ice. Release the lever to stop dispensing.

  4. Indicator Lights:
    • If the "ADD WATER" light illuminates, refill the water tank. The machine will pause ice production until water is added.
    • The "ICE" light indicates active ice production.
    • The "CLEAN" light indicates the self-cleaning cycle is running.
  5. Ice Quantity: Monitor the five-level ice quantity indicator on the control panel to see how much ice is available in the storage basket.

Maintenance

Self-Cleaning Function

The Kismile Nugget Ice Maker features a convenient self-cleaning function to simplify maintenance. It is recommended to run this cycle regularly, especially if the machine is not used daily or if you notice a change in ice quality.

  1. Ensure the water tank is filled with clean, potable water.
  2. With the unit powered on, press and hold the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds. The "CLEAN" indicator light will illuminate, and the cleaning cycle will begin.
  3. The cleaning process takes approximately 10 minutes. During this time, the machine will circulate water through its internal components.
  4. Once the "CLEAN" light turns off, the cycle is complete. Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
  5. Drain all water from the internal reservoir and water tank using the drain plug located at the bottom of the unit.
  6. Wipe down the interior and exterior surfaces with a soft, clean cloth.

Manual Cleaning and Storage

  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the ice maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Water Tank Cleaning: The removable water tank can be washed with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly before reinserting.
  • Drainage: Regularly drain any remaining water from the unit using the drain plug to prevent mineral buildup and ensure hygiene.
  • Long-Term Storage: If the ice maker will not be used for an extended period, perform a self-cleaning cycle, drain all water, and ensure the unit is completely dry. Store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
