Operating Instructions

1. Grinding Coffee Beans

  1. Ensure the bean hopper is filled with fresh, whole coffee beans.
  2. Adjust the grind setting using the integrated conical burr grinder. There are 12 precision settings, ranging from coarse (for faster extraction) to fine (for slower extraction). For espresso, a fine grind is typically recommended.
  3. Place the portafilter securely under the grinder chute.
  4. Activate the grinder to dispense the desired amount of freshly ground coffee into the portafilter.

  2. Attach the portafilter to the brew head, ensuring it is securely locked in place.
  3. Place one or two espresso cups on the drip tray beneath the portafilter spouts.
  4. Select the desired shot size (single or double) on the LED control panel. The machine features low-pressure pre-infusion to evenly saturate the coffee grounds before full pressure extraction.
  5. The machine will automatically dispense the espresso.
    • Single Cup Volume: Approximately 50 ml, brewed in about 16 seconds.
    • Double Cup Volume: Approximately 90 ml, brewed in about 28 seconds.
  6. Once brewing is complete, carefully remove the portafilter and discard the used coffee grounds.

  2. Position the steam wand into the milk, just below the surface.
  3. Turn the steam/hot water knob to the steam position.
  4. As the milk heats and froths, lower the pitcher slightly to incorporate air, then raise it to create a swirling motion for microfoam.
  5. Once the desired temperature and texture are achieved, turn off the steam.
  6. Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.
