4. Operating Instructions
Proper operation ensures efficiency and safety.
- Preparation: Place the shredder on a firm, level surface. Ensure the discharge chute is clear and, if desired, attach a collection bag to the debris bag hook. Connect the power cable to a suitable outdoor-rated power outlet.
- Starting the Shredder: Press the On/Off switch to the 'ON' position. The motor will start. Allow the motor to reach full speed (approximately 4500 RPM) before feeding material.
- Feeding Material: Carefully feed branches and leaves into the hopper. The maximum branch diameter for dry wood is 45 mm (1.77 inches). For optimal performance, feed material gradually.

Figure 4.1: The shredder can process branches up to 45 mm (1.77 inches) in diameter. Feed material carefully and gradually.
- Using the Material Feed Pusher: Always use the provided material feed pusher to guide material into the blades. Never use your hands or feet.
- Material Type: This shredder is designed for dry wood and branches. Avoid feeding wet branches or those with excessive leaves, as this can lead to clogging and reduced efficiency.
- Stopping the Shredder: To stop the machine, press the On/Off switch to the 'OFF' position. Disconnect from the power supply when not in use or before clearing jams.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your shredder.
- Cleaning: After each use, disconnect the power and clean the shredder. Remove any accumulated debris from the hopper, discharge chute, and around the blades. Use a brush or compressed air; avoid water.
- Blade Inspection: Periodically inspect the double-edged blades for wear or damage. Sharp blades ensure efficient shredding. If blades are dull or damaged, they should be replaced by qualified personnel or according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Storage: Store the shredder in a dry, secure location, away from children and adverse weather conditions.
