Each S2 Sensitive brush head features long, thin, ultra-soft bristles, specifically engineered for a gentle touch. With over 3,000 densely packed bristles, these heads are capable of removing significantly more plaque than a manual toothbrush, even in areas that are typically difficult to reach.

Operating and Usage

The S2 Sensitive brush heads utilize proven Sonicare technology to deliver a thorough and gentle clean. The sonic vibrations generate up to 62,000 bristle movements per minute, creating a dynamic fluid action that extends deep between teeth and along the gumline.

Brushing Technique:

  • Wet the bristles and apply a small amount of toothpaste.
  • Place the brush head against your teeth at a slight angle towards the gumline.
  • Turn on the toothbrush. Gently move the brush head slowly across each tooth surface, allowing the sonic action to do the work. Avoid scrubbing.
  • Brush all four quadrants of your mouth evenly.

Maintenance and Replacement Schedule

For optimal oral hygiene and performance, dental professionals recommend replacing your toothbrush head every 3 months. Over time, bristles can fray and become less effective at removing plaque.

BrushSync Replacement Reminder:

Many Philips Sonicare toothbrushes feature BrushSync technology. This system tracks how often and how hard you brush. When it's time to replace your brush head, a light on the toothbrush handle will illuminate. Additionally, the blue indicator bristles on the S2 Sensitive brush head will fade and turn white, providing a visual cue for replacement.
