3.2 Operational Modes

The BWHS25L scanner supports two primary operational modes:

  • Instant Upload Mode: In this mode, all scanned barcodes are immediately transmitted to the connected host device. This is the default mode when the scanner is actively connected via wired, 2.4G, or Bluetooth.
  • Offline Storage Mode: When the scanner is disconnected or out of range from the host device, it can store scanned barcodes internally. The scanner has a capacity to store up to 100,000 barcodes. To upload the stored data, reconnect the scanner to your device. The data will typically synchronize automatically or require scanning a specific command barcode (refer to the full product manual for specific command barcodes if needed).

3.3 Hands-Free Scanning

Utilize the included foldable stand to enable hands-free scanning. Position the scanner on the stand, and it can be configured for continuous or automatic scanning, allowing you to present items to the scanner without needing to hold the device.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the scanner's exterior.
  • For the scanning window, use a lens cleaning cloth to avoid scratches.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the device.

4.2 Battery Care

  • To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Charge the scanner regularly, even if not in constant use.
  • If storing the scanner for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50% before storage.

4.3 Storage

  • Store the scanner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Keep the scanner away from strong magnetic fields.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Scanner Not Responding

  • Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged.
  • For wired mode, check the USB cable connection to both the scanner and the host device.
  • For 2.4G wireless mode, ensure the USB dongle is properly inserted and the scanner is paired.
  • For Bluetooth mode, verify that Bluetooth is enabled on the host device and the scanner is successfully paired.

5.2 Unable to Scan Barcodes

  • Ensure the barcode is clean, undamaged, and clearly printed.
  • Adjust the distance and angle between the scanner and the barcode.
  • Verify that the scanner is in the correct operational mode and not in a paused or sleep state.
  • Confirm that the barcode type (1D, 2D, QR) is supported by the scanner.

5.3 Data Transmission Issues

  • For wireless modes, check the distance to the receiver/host device. The 2.4G wireless range is up to 80 meters in an open area.
  • Ensure there are no strong interference sources (e.g., other 2.4GHz devices) nearby.
  • If in offline storage mode, remember to upload the stored data by reconnecting the scanner.
