Maintenance

1. Cooling System

The switch features a semi-industrial fan for superior cooling. The fan operates quietly at low speed for fewer than 10 connections. Above 10 connections, it ramps up to maintain optimal internal temperatures under load, extending the lifespan of the device. Note that potential noise may occur during high-speed operation.

Troubleshooting

General Network Issues

  • No Connectivity: Check all cable connections. Ensure the switch is powered on and indicator lights are active. Verify IP configurations for local management.
  • Slow Network Speed: Check for excessive network traffic. Ensure devices are connected to appropriate ports (Gigabit). Consider enabling port rate limiting if specific devices are consuming too much bandwidth.

PoE Device Issues

  • PoE Device Not Powering On: Verify the device is PoE compatible (IEEE802.3AT/AF standards). Check the PoE budget (30W per port, 360W total). Ensure the port's PoE function is enabled in the management interface.
  • Intermittent PoE Power: Check for loose connections. Consider activating the AI Watchdog function for automatic port resets if devices become unresponsive.

Management Access Issues

  • Cannot Access Web Interface: Ensure your PC's IP address is in the same subnet as the switch. Clear browser cache or try a different browser.
  • Cloud App Connection Issues: Verify the switch has internet access. Check app permissions and ensure the device ID/key are correctly entered.
