3. Setup
The AiJoy ADD15 Electric Drum Set is designed for straightforward assembly. Follow these general steps for setup:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging and ensure no parts are missing.
- Assemble the Frame: Connect the metal frame pieces according to the included quick-start guide. The frame is adjustable to accommodate various player heights.
- Attach Pads and Cymbals: Securely mount the snare drum, tom pads, and cymbals to the designated points on the frame. Ensure they are positioned comfortably for playing.
- Connect Pedals: Place the kick pedal and hi-hat pedal on the floor in their playing positions and connect them to the sound module.
- Mount Sound Module: Attach the sound module to the frame in an easily accessible location.
- Cable Connections: Connect each drum pad, cymbal, and pedal to the corresponding input on the sound module using the provided cables.
- Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the sound module and then to a power outlet.

4. Components Overview
4.1 Drum Pads and Cymbals
- Snare Drum: Features an 8-inch dual-layer mesh head for superior durability and natural response. Its high-density weaving reduces unwanted vibrations, providing acoustic-like realism.
- Tom Pads: The three 8-inch tom pads are made of rubber silicone, offering powerful sound projection and dynamic playability, designed to withstand fierce striking.
- Cymbals: Three responsive 10-inch cymbals with full strike zones provide authentic rebound and reduced striking noise.

4.2 Sound Module
The sound module is the central control unit for your drum set, offering a wide range of sounds and features:
- Voices: 210 high-quality drum voices.
- Drum Kits: 20 preset drum kits and 3 user-definable drum kits.
- Demo Tracks: 20 demo tracks across various genres for practice and inspiration.
- Metronome: Built-in metronome to help keep your timing sharp.
- LED Display: Clear LED display for easy navigation and control.
- Connectivity: USB MIDI and AUX input for connecting to external devices.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
Press the ON/OFF button on the sound module to power the unit on or off.
5.2 Selecting Drum Kits and Voices
- Kit Selection: Use the Kit buttons to cycle through the 20 preset drum kits or your 3 custom user kits. Each kit offers a unique set of sounds for all pads and cymbals.
- Voice Selection: Press the Voice button and use the main dial to select from 210 individual drum and percussion sounds. This allows you to customize the sound of each pad within a user kit.
5.3 Adjusting Volume and Effects
- Volume Control: The Volume button allows you to adjust the individual volume level of each drum pad or cymbal. Use the main dial to increase or decrease the volume after selecting the desired pad.
- Master Volume: Use the dedicated knobs for Earphone and Speaker to control the overall output volume for headphones and external speakers, respectively.
- Effects: Press the Effect button and use the main dial to apply various effects, such as reverb, to your drum sounds.
5.4 Practice Features
- Metronome: Activate the metronome by pressing the Metro button. Adjust the tempo using the Tempo button and the main dial.
- Demo Songs: Press the Demo button to play through the 20 built-in demo tracks. You can drum along to these songs to practice different styles.
- Recording: Use the Record function to capture your drumming performances. Refer to the detailed instructions in the full manual for saving and playback.

5.5 Connectivity
The sound module offers versatile connectivity options:
