3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed in the 'What's in the Box' section are present and undamaged.
3.2 Battery Installation
The outdoor sensor requires 3 AA batteries (not included). The indoor display console requires 3 AAA batteries (not included) for backup power, or can be powered by the included 5V DC adapter.
- Outdoor Sensor: Open the battery compartment, insert 3 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely. The solar panel will help extend battery life.
- Display Console: Insert 3 AAA batteries into the battery compartment for backup. For continuous backlight operation, connect the included 5V DC power adapter.

3.3 Outdoor Sensor Installation
Select a location for the outdoor sensor that provides accurate readings and is within 328 feet (100 meters) of the indoor console. Ensure the solar panel faces south for optimal sunlight exposure. Use the included mounting pole and hardware to secure the sensor.
- Assemble the mounting pole and bracket.
- Attach the outdoor sensor to the mounting pole.
- Secure the assembly to a stable surface (e.g., roof, fence, garden pole) using the provided screws and anchors.

3.4 Display Console Setup
Place the indoor display console in a convenient location. It can be placed on a tabletop using its integrated stand or wall-mounted. Ensure it is within wireless range of the outdoor sensor.
