2. Safety Information

WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. Disconnect power at the circuit breaker or fuse box before installation or servicing. Improper wiring can cause electric shock or fire.

• All electrical connections must be in accordance with local codes and ordinances, and the National Electric Code (NEC).
• Consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure about wiring procedures.
• Do not install this fixture in wet or damp locations. It is designed for indoor use only.
• Ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the fixture.
• Use only E12 base bulbs as specified. Do not exceed the maximum wattage indicated on the fixture.
• Handle the rattan shade with care to avoid damage.

5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps carefully to install your RUIYEY Boho Chandelier. It is recommended to have two people for installation.

5.1 Before You Begin

• Turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse box to prevent electrical shock.
• Ensure you have all necessary tools: screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, ladder.
• Review the package contents to confirm all parts are present.

5.2 Installation Steps

1. Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to your ceiling junction box using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
2. Adjust Hanging Height: Determine your desired hanging height. The chandelier comes with multiple extension rods (12-inch and 6-inch sections). Screw the appropriate number of rods together to achieve the desired length. Pass the electrical wires through the rods and the canopy. The maximum adjustable height is 74.8 inches.
3. Wire the Fixture: Connect the fixture's wires to your household electrical wires. Match the wires:
   • Connect the black fixture wire to the black (Live/Hot) household wire.
   • Connect the white fixture wire to the white (Neutral) household wire.
   • Connect the green/bare copper fixture ground wire to the green/bare copper (Ground) household wire.
   Use wire nuts to secure all connections and wrap with electrical tape for added safety.
4. Secure Canopy: Carefully push the canopy up against the ceiling, covering the junction box. Secure it in place with the canopy screws.
5. Install Bulbs: Screw five E12 base bulbs (not included) into the sockets. Do not exceed the maximum wattage.
6. Restore Power: Once installation is complete, turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

6. Operating Instructions

The RUIYEY Boho Chandelier operates like a standard ceiling light fixture. It is designed to be compatible with dimmer switches for adjustable brightness.

• Turning On/Off: Use your wall switch to turn the chandelier on or off.
• Dimming Function: If you have installed dimmable E12 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch (both not included), you can adjust the light intensity from 0% to 100% brightness.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help preserve the appearance and functionality of your chandelier.

• Cleaning: Ensure the power is off before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the metal parts and rattan shade. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or natural material.
• Bulb Replacement: Always turn off the power before replacing bulbs. Allow old bulbs to cool before removing. Replace with new E12 base bulbs of the same type and wattage.
• Rattan Care: The rattan shade is hand-woven from natural materials. Avoid exposing it to excessive moisture or direct sunlight for prolonged periods to prevent warping or fading.
