This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient installation, operation, and maintenance of your APUS Tankless Water Heater Propane Gas (Model AP-AWH-Q13LPG). Please read all instructions thoroughly before use and retain this manual for future reference.
The APUS Tankless Water Heater is a high-performance propane unit designed to deliver instant hot water. It features a 95,000 BTU heating capacity and a 4.42 GPM flow rate, capable of meeting simultaneous hot water demands for multiple fixtures. Equipped with smart digital display and multiple safety protections, it ensures reliable and comfortable hot water supply.
2. Unboxing and Package Contents
Carefully open the packaging and inspect all components. Ensure all items listed below are present and undamaged. If any items are missing or damaged, contact APUS customer support immediately.

3. Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your tankless water heater. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional. Refer to the included Installation Guide Card for detailed steps and diagrams.
3.1 Location Requirements
- Install the unit in a well-ventilated indoor area.
- Ensure adequate clearance from flammable surfaces (refer to Installation Guide Card for specifics).
- The unit must be mounted vertically on a sturdy wall, preferably on wooden studs or a metal backing plate.
- Ensure access to a 120V power outlet for electrical connection.
3.2 Mounting the Unit
- Use the provided Installation Guide Card as a template to mark the drilling points on the wall.
- Drill holes and insert the M6 metal expansion screws (for the top holes) and mounting screws (for the bottom holes).
- Hang the water heater vertically onto the top screws and secure it by tightening the nuts.
- Install the mounting screws into the bottom holes to fully secure the unit.

3.3 Connecting Pipes
- Connect the gas inlet pipe to the designated gas inlet on the unit. Ensure a secure, leak-free connection.
- Wrap PTFE tape around the threads of the water inlet and outlet connections (do NOT use PTFE tape on the gas inlet).
- Connect the water inlet pipe to the cold water supply.
- Connect the water outlet pipe to the hot water distribution system.
- Ensure all water and gas connections are tight and leak-free.

3.4 Installing the Flue Pipe
- Install the anti-downdraft device with the arrow facing up into the top exhaust port of the water heater.
- Secure the anti-downdraft device with self-tapping screws.
- Connect the flexible flue pipe to the anti-downdraft device. Ensure the flue pipe is angled downward (3°-5°) for proper drainage.
- Secure the flue pipe connections with aluminum foil tape to ensure a sealed exhaust system.
4. Operating Instructions
The APUS Tankless Water Heater features an intuitive LED touchscreen for easy operation and temperature control.
- Power On/Off: Press the power button on the LED display to turn the unit on or off.
- Temperature Adjustment: Use the up and down arrows on the display to adjust the desired water temperature. The temperature can be set between 95°F and 140°F. The smart CPU technology maintains the temperature within ±1°F of your setting.
- Low-Flow Activation: The unit features a 0.66 GPM low-flow start technology, ensuring hot water even with minimal water flow.
- Memory Function: The unit retains your last temperature setting for convenience.

- Cleaning: Keep the unit clean and free from dust or debris.
