3. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your digital piano.

  1. Assemble the Keyboard Stand: Unfold the adjustable double-X stand and secure it to a stable position. Ensure all locking mechanisms are engaged.
  2. Place the Digital Piano: Carefully place the digital piano onto the assembled stand. Ensure it is centered and stable.
  3. Connect the Sustain Pedal: Locate the 'SUSTAIN' input port on the rear of the piano (refer to Figure 4.3) and plug in the sustain pedal.
  4. Connect the Power Adapter: Insert the power adapter cable into the 'POWER' input port on the rear of the piano. Plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  5. Attach the Music Rest: Slide the music rest into the designated slots on top of the piano.
  6. Optional Connections:
    • Headphones: For private practice, connect the headphones to the 'HEADPHONES OUTPUT' port.
    • Microphone: Connect a microphone to the 'MIC INPUT' port for vocal accompaniment.
    • External Audio: Connect an external audio source (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the 'AUDIO INPUT' port using an appropriate cable.

4.1. Control Panel Overview

The control panel provides access to all the piano's functions. Familiarize yourself with the buttons and their labels.

4.2. Basic Functions

  • Power On/Off: Use the ON/OFF switch located on the rear panel to power the instrument.
  • Volume: Adjust the master volume using the dedicated knob or buttons on the control panel.
  • Timbres (Sounds): The piano features 1000 different timbres. Use the 'SELECT' knob or 'TONE' button to browse and select desired instrument sounds.
  • Rhythms: Access 1000 built-in rhythms. Use the 'RHYTHM' button and 'SELECT' knob to choose a rhythm. Press 'START/STOP' to begin/end the rhythm.
  • Demo Songs: Play one of the 150 demo songs by pressing the 'DEMO' button. Use the 'SELECT' knob to choose a specific song.
  • Tempo: Adjust the speed of rhythms or demo songs using the 'TEMPO' buttons.
  • Dual Keyboard Function: This mode allows two players to use the keyboard simultaneously, splitting it into two identical pitch ranges. Refer to the display for activation.
  • Recording and Playback: Press the 'RECORD' button to start recording your performance. Press 'PLAY' to listen to your recorded track.

4.3. Connectivity

The Veitob 88 Key Digital Piano offers various connectivity options for enhanced functionality.

  • MIDI USB: Connect the piano to a computer or mobile device via the 'MIDI CONNECTION' USB port. This enables MIDI data transfer for music editing, recording, and interaction with educational applications.
  • Bluetooth: The piano supports dual-mode Bluetooth. Activate Bluetooth on the piano and pair it with your mobile phone or tablet to use compatible apps for lessons or music editing.
  • USB-MP3 Playback: Insert a USB drive with MP3 files into the 'USB INPUT' port to play back audio directly through the piano's speakers.

5. Maintenance
