1. Setup

1.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the following items are present:

  • Power Cable
  • Keyboard
  • Mouse

1.2 Connecting Peripherals

Connect your peripherals to the appropriate ports on the desktop PC. Refer to the port diagram below for assistance.

  1. Power Cable: Connect one end of the power cable to the power input on the rear of the PC and the other end to a grounded electrical outlet.
  2. Monitor: Connect your monitor(s) to the DisplayPort(s) on the rear of the PC.
  3. Keyboard and Mouse: Connect the USB cables of the keyboard and mouse to any available USB ports (USB 2.0 or USB 3.0) on the front or rear of the PC.
  4. Network (Optional): For a wired internet connection, connect an Ethernet cable from your router or modem to the RJ-45 Ethernet port on the rear of the PC.
  5. Audio Devices (Optional): Connect headphones, speakers, or a microphone to the Universal Audio Port or Audio Line Out on the front of the PC as needed.

1.3 Initial Power On

After connecting all necessary peripherals:

  1. Press the power button located on the front of the PC.
  2. The computer will boot up, and the Windows 11 Pro operating system will begin its initial setup process. Follow the on-screen prompts to configure your language, region, network settings, and user account.

2. Operation

2.1 Power Management

  • Power On: Press the power button on the front of the PC.
  • Shut Down: Click the Start button, then Power > Shut down.
  • Restart: Click the Start button, then Power > Restart.
  • Sleep: Click the Start button, then Power > Sleep.

2.2 Connecting to Network

  • Wi-Fi: Click the network icon in the taskbar, select your desired Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and click Connect.
  • Ethernet: If an Ethernet cable is connected, the PC will automatically establish a wired network connection.

2.3 Display Configuration

The BTO HP ProDesk 600 G3 supports multiple display configurations.

  • Single Monitor: Connect your monitor to one of the DisplayPorts.
  • Dual Monitor: Connect two monitors to the available DisplayPorts. Windows 11 Pro allows you to extend or duplicate your desktop across multiple screens. To configure, right-click on the desktop, select 'Display settings', and adjust as needed.

2.4 Using USB Ports

The PC is equipped with various USB ports for connecting external devices such as external hard drives, printers, and other peripherals.

  • USB 2.0 Ports: Suitable for keyboards, mice, and other low-bandwidth devices.
  • USB 3.0/3.1 Ports: Offer higher data transfer speeds, ideal for external storage devices.
  • USB Type-C Port: A versatile port for various compatible devices.

2.5 Audio Connections

The front panel includes dedicated audio ports:

  • Universal Audio Port: For connecting headsets with a single 3.5mm jack.

3. Maintenance

3.1 Cleaning
