Setup

1. Charging the Battery

The camera is equipped with a built-in 7800mAh rechargeable battery. For initial use, ensure the battery is fully charged using the provided power cable or by exposing the solar panel to direct sunlight.

2. SIM Card Activation and Data Plan

The Xega XG-34 camera comes with a built-in 4G SIM card. This camera does not support external SIM card slots or Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity. A data plan subscription is required for 4G functionality after a 7-day trial period. Please refer to the included Quickstart Guide for instructions on activating your SIM card and subscribing to a data plan via the Ucon App.

3. App Installation

Download the "Ucon" App from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android). Follow the in-app instructions to register an account and add your camera device.

4. Mounting the Camera

The camera can be mounted using either the provided strap for trees or the mounting bracket for walls/buildings. Ensure the camera and solar panel are positioned to receive maximum sunlight and have a clear view of the desired monitoring area.

Operating Instructions

1. Livestreaming and Remote Access

Once connected to the 4G network, you can access live video feeds and review recorded content remotely via the Ucon App on your smartphone. The camera captures crisp 2K HD videos and images.

2. Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera features three PIR (Passive Infrared) sensors with a 120° detection range, enabling accurate detection of animal movement. With a fast 0.1-second trigger speed, it captures critical moments quickly. The Ucon App sends instant alerts to your phone when motion is detected.

Maintenance

1. Weather Resistance

The Xega XG-34 camera is IP66 weatherproof, designed to withstand rain, dust, and harsh weather conditions. Ensure all ports are securely sealed to maintain water resistance.

Troubleshooting

1. No 4G Connectivity

  • Ensure your data plan subscription is active.
  • Check the camera's signal strength in the Ucon App. Relocate the camera to an area with better cellular reception if needed.
  • Verify that the built-in SIM card is properly recognized by the camera (refer to the Quickstart Guide).

2. Motion Detection Not Triggering

  • Adjust the sensitivity settings of the PIR sensors in the Ucon App.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions in the camera's detection range.
  • Check the camera's placement to ensure animals are moving within the 120° detection angle.

3. Poor Night Vision Quality

  • Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from dirt or condensation.
  • Verify that there are no objects too close to the camera that could reflect infrared light, causing overexposure.
  • Check the battery level, as low power can affect night vision performance.

4. App Connectivity Issues

  • Ensure your smartphone has a stable internet connection.
  • Update the Ucon App to the latest version.
