Setup

1. Filling the Water Tank:

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged and cool.
  2. Open the water tank cover located at the front of the iron.
  3. Using the provided measuring cup, carefully pour water into the tank up to the "MAX" line. Do not overfill.
  4. Close the water tank cover securely.

Water Type: For optimal performance and to prevent mineral buildup, use clean tap water. In areas with very hard water, it is recommended to use a 50/50 mixture of tap water and distilled or deionized water.

2. Initial Heating:

  1. Place the iron on its heel rest on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

  3. Turn the temperature dial to your desired fabric setting. The indicator light will illuminate (red for heating, blue for ready).
  4. Allow approximately 20 seconds for the iron to reach the set temperature. The indicator light will change from red to blue when ready.

1. Temperature Settings:

Once the iron is heated and filled with water, you can utilize its steam and spray features:

  • Continuous Steam: Adjust the steam control lever to the desired steam output (0 for no steam, up to MAX for maximum steam).
  • Burst Steam: Press the "Burst Steam" button for an extra powerful shot of steam to remove stubborn creases.
  • Spray Mist: Press the "Spray Mist" button to lightly dampen fabrics, aiding in wrinkle removal.

3. Ironing Techniques:

The IRONDAY steam iron supports various ironing methods:

  • Dry Ironing: Use without steam for delicate fabrics or when steam is not desired.
  • Steam Ironing: Ideal for most fabrics to effectively remove wrinkles.

Maintenance

1. Self-Cleaning:

The self-cleaning function helps remove mineral deposits and impurities from the steam vents and water tank, ensuring optimal steam performance.

  1. Fill the water tank to the MAX line.
  2. Set the steam control to '0' (no steam) and the temperature dial to MAX.
  3. Plug in the iron and allow it to heat up until the indicator light turns blue.
  4. Unplug the iron and hold it horizontally over a sink.
  5. Press and hold the "Self Clean" button. Hot water and steam will flush out impurities.
  6. Shake the iron gently back and forth until the water tank is empty.
  7. Release the "Self Clean" button and place the iron on its heel rest to cool.

Perform self-cleaning regularly, especially if you notice reduced steam output or mineral residue.

2. Storage:

After use, ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool. Empty any remaining water from the tank. Store the iron vertically on its heel rest in a safe, dry place.
