3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, it is recommended to charge the device for 4-6 hours using the solar panel in direct sunlight or via the provided USB cable. This ensures the internal battery is fully charged for immediate operation.

3.2 Mounting the Device

The alarm can be easily hung on posts, fences, trees, or walls. Choose a location that meets the following criteria:

  • Direct Sunlight: Ensure the solar panel receives ample direct sunlight throughout the day for continuous charging.
  • Optimal Height: Install the device at an adjustable height of 1 to 8 feet (approximately 0.3 to 2.4 meters) for best motion detection results.
  • Clear Line of Sight: Position the sensor to have a clear view of the area you wish to protect, free from obstructions.

4. Operating Instructions

The Comboss Solar Motion Sensor Alarm offers four distinct working modes, selectable via the remote control.

4.1 Understanding the Work Modes

Use the remote control to cycle through the following modes:

  • Mode A: 24-hour Ultrasonic + Flashing Light. The device will emit ultrasonic waves and flash lights continuously upon motion detection, day and night.
  • Mode B: Night Ultrasonic + Flashing Light. The device will emit ultrasonic waves and flash lights upon motion detection only during nighttime hours.
  • Mode C: 24-hour Siren with Flashing Light. The device will activate a loud 129dB siren and flash lights upon motion detection, day and night.
  • Mode D: Night Siren with Flashing Light. The device will activate a loud 129dB siren and flash lights upon motion detection only during nighttime hours.

4.2 Motion Sensing Functionality

The integrated motion sensor detects movement within its sensing area. When a moving object is detected, the alarm will automatically trigger according to the selected mode.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Comboss Solar Motion Sensor Alarm, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe the solar panel and sensor lens with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean solar panel ensures efficient charging.
  • Battery Care: The device uses a Lithium Polymer battery. While designed for continuous operation, ensure it receives adequate sunlight for charging. If stored for extended periods, charge it fully before storage and periodically during storage to maintain battery health.
  • Inspection: Regularly check the mounting for stability and ensure no physical damage has occurred to the unit.
