1. Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before operating your new EcoExplorer Window AC Unit. Keep this manual for future reference.

• Always plug the unit into a grounded 115V/60Hz electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.
• Do not operate the unit with a damaged power cord or plug. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified service technician.
• Ensure the unit is installed securely in a window according to the installation instructions to prevent it from falling.
• Do not block the air intake or exhaust vents. Maintain adequate clearance around the unit for proper airflow.
• Unplug the unit before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

3. Installation Guide

This unit is designed for installation in standard double-hung windows. A comprehensive installation kit is included.

Window Requirements:

• Window Width: 23 inches to 34 inches (58.4 cm to 86.4 cm)
• Minimum Window Height: 14.5 inches (36.8 cm)

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare the Window: Open the window to the required height. Ensure the window sill is clean and level.
2. Attach Side Panels: Slide the accordion side panels into the channels on the AC unit.
3. Place the Unit: Carefully lift the AC unit and place it into the window opening, ensuring the bottom rail rests on the window sill.
4. Secure the Unit: Lower the window sash behind the top rail of the AC unit. Extend the side panels to fill the window opening and secure them with the provided screws.
5. Install Support Brackets (if necessary): Depending on your window type and local codes, install the provided support brackets to ensure stability.
6. Seal Gaps: Use the included foam seals to seal any gaps around the unit to prevent air leakage and improve efficiency.

4. Operating Instructions

Your EcoExplorer AC unit offers simple manual controls for personalized comfort.

Control Panel:

The unit features two main rotary knobs on the front panel:

• Temperature Knob: Adjusts the cooling intensity across 7 levels. Turn clockwise for cooler settings.
• Mode Knob: Selects between different operating modes (e.g., Cool, Fan).

Operating Modes:

• Cool Mode: Provides active cooling. Use the temperature knob to set your desired cooling level.
• Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Useful for ventilation or when cooling is not required.

Airflow Adjustment:

Manually adjust the louvers on the front of the unit to direct the airflow horizontally or vertically as desired.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your AC unit.

Filter Cleaning:

The EcoExplorer AC unit features a slide-out washable filter for easy maintenance. Clean the filter regularly, ideally every two weeks, or more often if the unit is used frequently or in dusty environments.

1. Unplug the Unit: Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning.
2. Remove the Filter: Gently slide out the air filter from its slot on the front of the unit. No tools are required.
3. Clean the Filter: Wash the filter under warm, running water. A mild detergent can be used for stubborn dirt. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Dry the Filter: Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it. Do not use direct heat to dry.
5. Reinstall the Filter: Slide the dry filter back into its original position.

Exterior Cleaning:

Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
