1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions

Please read all safety instructions carefully before using the appliance to prevent injury or damage.

  • Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
  • Do not immerse the main body of the coffee maker in water or other liquids.
  • Use only the provided charging cable.
  • Exercise caution when handling hot water and coffee to avoid burns.
  • Do not operate the appliance if it is damaged or malfunctioning.
  • Ensure the water tank and cup are securely attached before brewing.
  • Do not open the battery compartment. The battery is not user-replaceable.
  • This appliance is not dishwasher safe.

5. Setup

5.1 Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge the coffee maker. The device is powered by three 18650 batteries (2500 mAh each), totaling 7500 mAh capacity.

  1. Connect the provided charging cable to the coffee maker's charging port.
  2. Plug the other end into a compatible USB power adapter (not included).
  3. The indicator light will show charging status. A full charge allows for over 50 extractions.

5.2 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, clean all detachable parts that will come into contact with coffee or water.

  1. Disassemble the transparent cup and any chosen adapters/filter baskets.
  2. Wash these parts with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Wipe the main body with a damp cloth. Do not submerge.
  4. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly.

6. Operating Instructions

The Chefnificent KF-JN-01 supports both ground coffee and various capsule types for hot or cold brewing.

6.1 Using Ground Coffee

  1. Unscrew the transparent cup and the ground coffee filter basket from the main body.
  2. Fill the filter basket with 8-9g of finely ground coffee. Do not overfill or tamp too hard.
  3. Screw the filled filter basket onto the main body.
  4. Fill the water tank (located at the top of the main body) with up to 60ml of water. For hot coffee, use cold water; the machine will heat it. For cold coffee, use chilled water.
  5. Screw the transparent cup onto the bottom of the main body.
  6. Press the power button to start brewing. For hot coffee, the machine will heat the water to 92°C in approximately 6 minutes before brewing. For cold coffee, it will brew immediately.
  7. The brewing process takes about 20 seconds. Once complete, your coffee is ready.

6.2 Using Coffee Capsules

  1. Select the appropriate capsule adapter (large or small) for your capsule type.
  2. Insert the coffee capsule into the adapter.
  3. Screw the capsule adapter with the capsule onto the main body.
  4. Fill the water tank (up to 60ml) with water. For hot coffee, use cold water; for cold coffee, use chilled water.
  5. Screw the transparent cup onto the bottom of the main body.
  6. Press the power button to start brewing. The machine will heat water if brewing hot coffee.
  7. The brewing process takes about 20 seconds.

7. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene.

  • After Each Use: Disassemble the transparent cup, capsule adapter/filter basket. Rinse these parts under running water to remove coffee residue.
  • Main Body: Wipe the exterior of the main body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main body in water.
  • Drying: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the coffee maker.
  • Descaling: Depending on water hardness, periodic descaling may be necessary. Consult the manufacturer's website or support for descaling instructions.
  • Storage: Store the coffee maker in a clean, dry place when not in use.
  • Dishwasher Safety: This appliance is NOT dishwasher safe.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:
