  1. Install Bobbin: Place a thread bobbin onto the bobbin pin. If using a larger bobbin, use the extension spindle.
  2. Guide Thread (Step 1): Pass the thread through the first thread guide on the top of the machine.
  3. Guide Thread (Step 2): Continue guiding the thread through the tension control mechanism.
  4. Guide Thread (Step 3): Bring the thread down and through the lower thread guide.
  5. Thread Needle: Use the provided needle threader to pass the thread through the eye of the needle from front to back. Pull about 10 cm (4 inches) of thread through the needle eye.
  6. Position Fabric: Lift the fastening plate, place the fabric underneath, and lower the fastening plate to secure the fabric.

7. Operating Instructions

Once the machine is threaded and powered, you can begin sewing:

  1. Start Sewing: Hold the fabric gently with one hand and press the On/off Switch to start the machine. The needle will begin to move up and down.
  2. Guide Fabric: Slowly guide the fabric under the needle, ensuring it moves smoothly. Do not pull or push the fabric forcefully, as this can damage the needle or affect stitch quality.
  3. Adjust Tension: If stitches are too loose or too tight, adjust the Tension Control knob slightly. Turn clockwise for tighter stitches, counter-clockwise for looser stitches.
  4. Finish Sewing: When you reach the end of your seam, press the On/off Switch to stop the machine.
  5. Cut Thread: Lift the fastening plate, carefully pull the fabric away, and cut the thread, leaving a tail of a few inches.
  6. Secure Stitch: To prevent unraveling, tie off the ends of the thread manually or sew a few stitches back and forth at the beginning and end of your seam.

9. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Machine does not start. No power; batteries incorrectly installed or depleted; adapter not connected. Check batteries for correct polarity and charge; ensure adapter is securely plugged in.
Skipped stitches. Incorrect threading; bent or dull needle; fabric too thick or thin. Re-thread the machine carefully; replace needle; use appropriate needle for fabric type.
Thread breaks frequently. Thread tension too high; poor quality thread; burr on needle or machine parts. Reduce thread tension; use good quality thread; inspect needle and thread path for obstructions.
Fabric not feeding smoothly. Fastening plate not lowered; fabric too thick or thin for machine. Ensure fastening plate is down; manually assist fabric gently; consider fabric suitability.
Loose stitches. Thread tension too low. Increase thread tension by turning the Tension Control knob clockwise.
