3. Setup

3.1. Battery Installation and Charging

The helmet uses removable 1350mAh batteries. Ensure batteries are fully charged before first use.

  1. Locate the battery compartment at the rear of the helmet.
  2. Slide the latch to open the compartment.
  3. Insert a charged battery into the slot, ensuring correct orientation.
  4. Close the compartment securely.
  5. To charge, place batteries in the provided charging compartment and connect via USB-C cable to a power source.

3.2. TF Card Installation

The helmet supports up to a 128GB TF card (64GB included).

  1. Locate the TF card slot near the camera power button.
  2. Carefully insert the TF card into the slot until it clicks into place.

3.3. Remote Control Pairing

The wireless remote controls the helmet's light functions and phone calls.

  1. Ensure the helmet is powered on.
  2. Press and hold the power button on the remote until the blue indicator light flashes.
  3. The remote will automatically pair with the helmet.

3.4. App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection

Download the 'Roadcam' app from your device's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store).

  1. Power on the helmet camera by pressing its dedicated power button.
  2. Press the Wi-Fi button on the helmet to activate its Wi-Fi hotspot.
  3. On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the helmet's Wi-Fi network (e.g., RAW3_XXXX). The default password is 12345678.
  4. Open the 'Roadcam' app. You should see a live preview from the helmet's camera.

3.5. Helmet Fit Adjustment

For optimal safety and comfort, ensure the helmet fits snugly.

  1. Place the helmet on your head.
  2. Adjust the rear dial to tighten or loosen the internal frame until the helmet feels secure without being too tight.
  3. Adjust the chin straps so they form a 'V' shape below your ears and the buckle is centered under your chin.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Powering On/Off

  • Helmet Lights: Press the power button at the rear of the helmet to cycle through light modes (constant, slow flash, fast flash) or turn off.
  • Camera: Press and hold the camera power button (located near the front camera) to turn the camera on/off. A voice prompt will confirm.

4.2. Camera Operation

The built-in 1080P HD camera automatically begins recording when powered on.

  • Recording: The camera starts recording automatically when powered on. A voice prompt will confirm "Recording started."
  • Photos: Briefly press the camera power button to take a photo. A voice prompt will confirm "Photo captured successfully."
  • Live View: Connect to the 'Roadcam' app via Wi-Fi for a real-time view from the camera.

4.3. Bluetooth Functions

Connect your smartphone to the helmet via Bluetooth for hands-free calls and music playback.

  • Pairing: Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone and search for 'Movcan RAW3'. Select to pair.
  • Calls: Use the remote control to answer/hang up calls. Audio will be routed through the helmet's built-in speakers.

4.4. Light System Operation

  • Rear Lights: Use the button at the rear of the helmet or the remote to cycle through constant, slow flash, and fast flash modes.
  • Turn Signals: Use the left/right arrow buttons on the remote to activate corresponding turn signals. Signals will automatically turn off after 12 seconds.
  • Hazard Lights: Press the hazard button on the remote to activate hazard lights.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning the Helmet

  • Wipe the exterior of the helmet with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • The 3D cooling liner is removable and washable. Gently detach it, hand wash with mild soap, and air dry completely before reattaching.
