4. Setup
4.1 Placement
Optimal placement of your soundbar system is crucial for the best audio experience.
- Soundbar: Place the soundbar centrally below your television. Ensure there are no obstructions in front of the soundbar to allow sound to project clearly.
- Wireless Subwoofer: Position the subwoofer on the floor, preferably in a corner or near a wall, to enhance bass response. Ensure it is within wireless range of the soundbar and has access to a power outlet.
- Rear Surround Speakers: Place the two rear speakers behind your primary listening position, ideally at ear level, to create an enveloping surround sound field. Ensure they are within wireless range of the soundbar and have access to power outlets.
4.2 Connections
Follow these steps to connect your soundbar system to your television and power supply.
- Power Connection: Connect the AC power cables to the soundbar, wireless subwoofer, and each rear surround speaker, then plug them into active power outlets.
- HDMI eARC Connection (Recommended): Connect one end of the included HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT (eARC) port on the soundbar and the other end to the HDMI IN (eARC/ARC) port on your television. This connection supports the highest quality audio formats, including Dolby Atmos.
- Optical Connection (Alternative): If your TV does not have an HDMI ARC/eARC port, connect the included Optical cable from the OPTICAL IN port on the soundbar to the Optical Digital Audio Out port on your television. Note that Optical connection may not support all advanced audio formats like Dolby Atmos.
- Auxiliary Connection (Optional): For connecting analog audio devices, use a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from the AUX IN port on the soundbar to the audio output of your device.
- USB Connection (Optional): For playing audio files from a USB storage device, insert the device into the USB port on the soundbar.

6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Hisense R652 Soundbar System, follow these maintenance guidelines:

- Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings on all units are not blocked. Proper airflow prevents overheating.
- Placement: Avoid placing the system in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with high humidity or dust.
- Power: Disconnect the power cables from the wall outlet if the system will not be used for an extended period.
