Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure proper installation and operation.

  • Keep the solar panel clean to ensure efficient charging.

  • Keep out of reach of small children and pets to prevent accidental ingestion of small parts.

4. Setup Guide

4.1 Mounting the Feeder

The bird feeder can be mounted using the included accessories. Choose a location that offers a clear view for the camera and is easily accessible for refilling. Ensure the solar panel receives adequate sunlight.

  1. Select a sturdy tree branch, pole, or wall for mounting.
  2. Use the provided strap to secure the feeder to a tree or pole, or use screws and anchors for wall mounting.
  3. Ensure the feeder is level and stable to prevent tipping.

4.2 Connecting to the Tris Home App

The Tris Home app is essential for operating your smart bird feeder. It provides live view, notifications, and bird identification features.

  1. Download the "Tris Home" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Create an account or log in if you already have one.
  3. Power on the bird feeder camera.
  4. In the app, select "Add Device" and follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. Scan the QR code located on the bird feeder or in the manual to pair the device.
  6. Connect the feeder to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. (5GHz networks are not supported).
  7. Once connected, the app will confirm successful pairing.

5. Operation

5.1 Live View and Recording

Access real-time video streams and recorded footage through the Tris Home app.

  • Open the Tris Home app and select your bird feeder from the device list.
  • The live view will appear, showing the camera's perspective.
  • Recordings are automatically saved when motion is detected. You can access these in the app's playback section.
  • Cloud storage is available (free 1-month trial included) for secure storage of recordings. Local storage via an SD card (up to 128GB, not included) is also supported.

5.2 AI Bird Species Identification

The camera's AI technology identifies bird species that visit your feeder.

  • When a bird is detected, the app will attempt to identify its species.
  • You will receive notifications with the identified species.
  • Detailed information about the identified birds can be viewed within the app.

5.3 Squirrel Deterrence

The feeder includes features to help deter unwanted visitors like squirrels.

  • Siren Function: Manually activate a siren from the Tris Home app to scare away squirrels.
  • Optional Netting: Utilize the optional squirrel-proof netting (if included or purchased separately) to prevent squirrels from accessing the birdseed.

5.4 Night Vision

The camera provides clear visibility even in low-light conditions.

  • The 5MP UHD camera offers full-color night vision, allowing you to observe bird activities around the clock.
  • The camera automatically switches to night vision mode in low light.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Feeder

Regular cleaning is important for the health of the birds and the longevity of the feeder.

  • Empty old birdseed and debris regularly.
  • Wipe down the feeder's surfaces with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution and rinse thoroughly.
  • Ensure the camera lens and solar panel are clean for optimal performance.
  • The feeder is IP65 waterproof, allowing for easy cleaning without damaging internal components.

6.2 Solar Panel Care

To ensure continuous charging, keep the solar panel free from dust, leaves, and snow.

  • Periodically wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Ensure the feeder is placed in a location that receives ample direct sunlight throughout the day.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Smart Bird Feeder, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
