3. Package Contents

4. Setup and Loading
4.1 Loading BBs
The Umarex DSX-45 features a 13-round drop-free magazine and an additional 200-round reservoir capacity. Use only .177 caliber (4.5mm) steel BBs.
- Remove the Magazine: Locate the magazine release button, typically near the trigger guard. Press the button to release the magazine from the grip.
- Load the Magazine: Pull down the spring follower on the magazine until it locks into place. Insert .177 caliber steel BBs into the loading port until the magazine is full (13 rounds). Release the spring follower carefully.

4.2 Cocking the Air Pistol
The DSX-45 is a spring-piston single-action air pistol. It must be cocked before each shot.
- Grip the Air Pistol: Hold the air pistol firmly with one hand, ensuring a secure grip on the molded checkered handle.
- Pull Back the Slide: With your other hand, firmly grasp the rear of the slide and pull it fully rearward until it locks into place. You may hear a click.
- Release the Slide: Release the slide, allowing it to move forward under spring tension. The air pistol is now cocked and ready to fire.

Note: Some users report the slide action can be stiff initially. Applying a small amount of silicone spray lubricant to the slide rails may improve operation.
5. Operating Instructions
