Setup Instructions

Follow these steps for a quick and easy tent assembly:

  1. Unpack and Lay Out: Remove all components from the carry bag. Lay the tent body flat on your chosen campsite, ensuring the ground is clear of debris.
  2. Assemble Poles: Connect the sections of the fiberglass poles and metal poles. The fiberglass poles are typically for the main tent structure, and the metal poles are for the awning.
  3. Insert Main Poles: Slide the fiberglass poles through the sleeves on the tent body. Pay attention to the color coding or markings on the poles and sleeves for correct placement.
  4. Raise the Tent: Secure the ends of the poles into the grommets or pins at the base of the tent. Carefully raise the tent structure.
  5. Attach Rainfly: Drape the rainfly over the erected tent body. Ensure it is oriented correctly, covering all mesh areas and doors. Secure the rainfly to the tent poles or base using the attached buckles or ties.
  6. Stake Down: Use the metal tent pegs to secure the tent corners and all guy lines (wind ropes) to the ground. Ensure the tent is taut and stable.
  7. Set Up Awning: Use the two awning support poles to prop up the front door flap, creating a sunshade. Secure with additional guy lines and pegs if necessary.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, clean the tent thoroughly. Wipe down the fabric with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners. The care instructions state "Dry clean only," which is unusual for a tent; however, for spot cleaning, a damp cloth is generally safe.
  • Drying: Ensure the tent is completely dry before packing it away to prevent mold and mildew growth.
  • Storage: Fold the tent neatly and store it in its carry bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect poles, zippers, seams, and fabric for any damage. Repair small tears or broken components promptly to extend the tent's lifespan.

Troubleshooting

  • Condensation Inside Tent: Ensure proper ventilation by opening mesh windows and doors. Condensation is natural, especially in humid conditions or with many occupants.
  • Difficulty Assembling Poles: Check that all pole sections are fully connected. If a pole is bent or broken, it may need replacement. Refer to the "Package Contents" section for pole types.
  • Tent Not Stable: Ensure all tent pegs are securely driven into the ground and all wind ropes are taut. Adjust tension as needed.
  • Water Leaks: While the tent is waterproof, extreme conditions or improper setup can lead to leaks. Ensure the rainfly is correctly positioned and fully covers the tent. Check for any tears in the fabric or seams that may require repair.
  • Zipper Issues: If zippers stick, apply a silicone-based lubricant. Avoid forcing zippers, as this can cause damage.
