Product Overview

The YARNOW Digital Hygrometer and Thermometer features a large LCD display for easy reading of current temperature and humidity, along with maximum and minimum records. It also includes comfort level indicators and user-friendly buttons for various functions.

Key Components:

Setup

1. Battery Installation:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
2. Slide or gently pry open the cover.
3. Insert one AAA battery (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.
5. The device display should activate automatically.

Note: Ensure correct battery orientation to prevent damage to the device.

2. Placement:

• Place the hygrometer on a flat, stable surface using its integrated stand.
• For accurate readings, position the device away from direct sunlight, heat sources (e.g., heaters, ovens), and areas with high airflow (e.g., vents, open windows).
• Avoid placing it near sources of moisture or extreme temperature fluctuations.

Operating Instructions

1. Reading the Display:

• The large digits on the right side of the display show the current temperature (top) and current humidity (bottom).
• The left side of the display shows the MAX/MIN records for both temperature and humidity since the last reset or power cycle.
• Comfort Indicators: The display includes "DRY", "COMFORT", and "WET" labels. The device will highlight the current comfort level based on the humidity reading.

2. Switching Temperature Units (°C/°F):

Press the C/F button once to toggle the temperature display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).

3. Viewing MAX/MIN Records:

Press the MEMORY/TIME button to cycle through the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity records. A single press typically shows the maximum values, another press shows the minimum values, and a third press returns to current readings. To reset the MAX/MIN records, press and hold the MEMORY/TIME button for a few seconds.

4. Alert Function (if applicable):

The ALERT button is present on the device. Refer to specific product packaging or additional documentation for detailed instructions on setting and using temperature/humidity alerts, as functionality may vary.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning:

• Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the device in water.

2. Battery Replacement:

When the display becomes dim or stops functioning, it is time to replace the battery. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section.

Troubleshooting

• No Display / Dim Display:
  • Check if the battery is installed correctly with the correct polarity.
  • Replace with a new AAA battery.
• Inaccurate Readings:
  • Ensure the device is placed in a stable environment, away from direct heat, cold, or strong airflow.
  • Allow the device to stabilize for at least 30 minutes after initial setup or relocation.
• Buttons Not Responding:
  • Remove and reinsert the battery to perform a soft reset.
