3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials, including tape and protective films. Inspect the freezer for any shipping damage. Report any damage immediately to the carrier and your dealer.
3.2 Placement
Position the freezer on a flat, stable surface capable of supporting its weight (approximately 220 pounds empty). Ensure adequate clearance around the unit for proper ventilation. Maintain at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space from walls and other appliances. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources. The freezer dimensions are 26.89"D x 30.71"W x 81.89"H.

3.3 Electrical Connection
Connect the freezer to a dedicated 115V/60Hz electrical outlet using the NEMA 5-15P plug. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs. Ensure the electrical circuit is properly protected with a fuse or circuit breaker.
3.4 Initial Cleaning
Before first use, clean the interior and exterior of the freezer with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Ensure the magnetic door gaskets are clean and free of debris for a proper seal.
3.5 Leveling
The freezer is equipped with four swivel casters, two of which have brakes. Use the brakes to secure the unit in place. If necessary, adjust the leveling feet (if present, or use shims under casters) to ensure the freezer is level. This helps with door alignment and efficient operation.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Temperature Control
The freezer features CAREL digital controls for precise temperature management. The optimal storage temperature range is between -8°F and -2°F. Refer to the digital controller's specific instructions for setting and adjusting the temperature.

4.3 Defrosting
The freezer features an automated defrost system that cycles three times daily (every 8 hours) to prevent ice buildup. This system ensures continuous, uninterrupted operation without manual defrosting.
4.4 Internal Lighting
Bright LED lighting illuminates the interior, providing clear visibility of stored items. This enhances convenience and reduces energy consumption compared to traditional lighting.
4.5 Door Features
The self-closing door design minimizes energy loss. A heated door frame prevents condensation buildup. For added security, the freezer includes a safety lock. The door hinges are on the right side.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Interior and Exterior
Regularly clean the stainless steel interior and exterior with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. For fingerprint-resistant surfaces, wipe with the grain of the stainless steel. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that could scratch the surface.

5.2 Gasket Maintenance
Inspect the magnetic door gaskets regularly for cracks or tears. Clean them with warm, soapy water to ensure they remain pliable and maintain an airtight seal. A damaged gasket can lead to energy loss and inefficient cooling.
5.3 Condenser Coil Cleaning
The bottom-mounted condenser coils should be cleaned periodically to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Dust and debris can accumulate on the coils, reducing cooling capacity. Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a brush or vacuum cleaner to remove any buildup.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your BNSPLY Commercial Upright Freezer, consult the following common troubleshooting steps. For problems not listed or if issues persist, contact customer support.
- Freezer Not Cooling: Check if the power cord is securely plugged in. Verify the circuit breaker or fuse. Ensure the temperature setting is appropriate. Check for obstructions around the condenser coils.
- Excessive Noise: Ensure the freezer is level. Check if any internal components (like shelves) are rattling. Verify that the fan is not obstructed.
- Door Not Sealing Properly: Inspect the door gasket for damage or debris. Ensure the freezer is level. Avoid overfilling the freezer, which can prevent the door from closing completely.
- Condensation on Exterior: This can be normal in humid environments. Ensure the door is fully closed and the heated door frame is functioning.
