2. Important Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Please read and adhere to all safety instructions before operating the heater.

  • Placement: Always place the heater on a firm, level, and sturdy surface to prevent accidental tipping.
  • Overheat Protection: The heater is equipped with an internal sensor that automatically shuts off the unit if it detects overheating.
  • Tip-Over Protection: An integrated safety switch automatically turns off the heater if it is accidentally knocked over. The unit will remain off even if placed upright until manually reset.
  • 24-Hour Auto Shut-Off: For added safety, the heater will automatically power down after 24 hours of continuous operation.
  • Residual Heat Dissipation: After the LED display turns off, a 30-second residual heat dissipation program runs to cool down the unit safely.
  • Flame Retardant Materials: Constructed with flame-retardant materials for enhanced safety.
  • Enhanced Safety Plug: Features a robust safety plug designed to prevent electrical hazards.

3.2 Control Panel and Display

The LED display shows the current temperature, selected mode (High, Low, ECO, Cool Air), and timer settings. The touch buttons on the top panel allow for direct control of all functions.

The multifunctional remote control provides convenient access to all heater settings from a distance, including power, temperature, timer, oscillation, and quiet function.

4. Setup

  1. Unboxing: Carefully remove the heater and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) of clearance from walls, furniture, and other objects to allow for proper airflow and prevent fire hazards.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the heater directly into a 120V AC, 60Hz grounded wall outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.

5. Operating Instructions

The FLANUR Space Heater offers various modes and settings for personalized comfort.

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Press the Power button (Power button icon) on the control panel or remote control to turn the heater on or off.
  • The heater will automatically resume the last used settings (memory function).

5.2 Heat Modes

Press the Mode button (Mode button icon) to cycle through the following modes:

  • High Heat (1500W): Provides maximum heating power for rapid warming.
  • Low Heat (900W): Offers moderate heating for sustained warmth.
  • ECO Mode: Automatically adjusts power output (between 41-95°F / 5-35°C) based on the ambient temperature to maintain your desired setting, optimizing energy efficiency.
  • Cool Air: Operates as a fan without heat, suitable for air circulation.

5.3 Temperature Adjustment

In ECO mode, use the + and - buttons on the control panel or remote to set your desired temperature between 41°F and 95°F (5°C and 35°C).

5.4 Oscillation

Press the Oscillation button (Oscillation button icon) on the control panel or remote to activate the 70° wide-angle oscillation feature, distributing warm air evenly across a wider area.

5.5 Timer Function

Press the Timer button (Timer button icon) on the control panel or remote to set an automatic shut-off timer from 1 to 12 hours. Each press increases the timer by one hour.

5.6 Quiet Function

The heater operates at an ultra-quiet level (below 35 decibels), ensuring minimal disturbance during sleep or work. This feature is inherent to its design.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your heater.

  • Cleaning: Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or allow water to drip into the interior.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your heater, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Heater does not turn on:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
    • Check if the tip-over switch on the bottom of the unit is fully depressed (heater must be on a flat surface).
    • Verify that the overheat protection has not been activated. Unplug the unit, wait 30 minutes, and plug it back in.
    • Confirm the power button is pressed on the unit or remote.
  • Heater turns off unexpectedly:
    • The tip-over protection may have been activated. Ensure the heater is on a stable surface.
    • The overheat protection may have been triggered. Unplug, wait, and restart.
    • The 24-hour auto shut-off timer may have expired.
    • In ECO mode, the heater will turn off once the set temperature is reached. It will restart when the room temperature drops.
  • No heat output in heating modes:
    • Ensure the correct heating mode (High, Low, or ECO with appropriate temperature setting) is selected.
