Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance and safety. Refer to the detailed instructions and diagrams provided in the owner's manual for specific steps. The following provides a general overview.
1. Indoor Unit Installation
- Ensure the wall for the indoor unit is hard and firm to prevent vibration.
- Reserve adequate space: 15cm above to the ceiling, 20cm above to side walls, and 230-260cm from the floor.
- Use the provided template to mark drilling points for the mounting plate.
- Drill holes and securely fasten the mounting plate to the wall.
- Make a wall hole (Ø60mm-Ø80mm) for piping, slanting it 5°-10° downward to the outside. Avoid pre-buried power wires.
- Connect the power cable and communication cable to the indoor unit's terminal board.
- Connect the refrigerant pipes and drain hose to the indoor unit. Ensure connections are tight and properly insulated.
- Pass the refrigerant piping out of the wall hole.
- Hang the indoor unit on the mounting plate, ensuring hooks are properly positioned.
- Seal the wall hole with putty and install the pipe protecting ring.

2. Outdoor Unit Installation
- The outdoor unit should fulfill specific clearance requirements: 50cm above to obstruction, 10cm above to air in side, 50cm above to side obstruction, 30cm above to side obstruction, 200cm above to air out side.
- Use at least 6 expansion bolts to fix the mounting brackets firmly on the wall.
- Place the outdoor unit onto the brackets and secure it with 4 screws.
- Connect the refrigerant pipes to the outdoor unit's stop valves. Aim at the pipe center, tighten the taper nut with fingers, then tighten with 2 wrenches.
- Connect the power cable and communication cable to the outdoor unit's terminal board according to the wiring diagram. Secure cables with fasteners.
- Remove the cover of the stop valve. Fully open the handle Lo of the manifold valve and apply vacuum for at least 15 minutes. Check that the compound vacuum gauge reads -0.1MPa (-76cmHg).
- After applying vacuum, fully open the stop valve with a hex wrench.
- Screw all the caps and tighten them up.

Important Note: When the length of the connecting pipe is changed, extra amount of refrigerant may need to be added or reduced to ensure optimal operation. Refer to the table below for guidance:
| Length of connection pipe | Added or reduced refrigerant | Amount of refrigerant for the unit |
|---|---|---|
| <3M | CC≤12000Btu: reduce 20g/m CC≥18000Btu: reduce 40g/m | ≤1Kg ≤2Kg |
| 3-5M | Not needed | - |
| 5-15M | CC≤12000Btu: add 16g/m CC≥18000Btu: add 24g/m | ≤1Kg ≤2Kg |
